List of tourist attraction visited today :
– Dr. Sun Yat Sen Mausoleum
– Ming XiaoLing Mausoleum

After spent a day free walk in Nanjing yesterday, today our tour guide brought us to go to Dr. Sun Yat Sen Mausoleum as the main tourist attraction in Nanjing. So we depart from the hotel around 8 o’clock. We brought all our bags because we will not come back to the hotel and continue our journey directly to other city. We were picked up by bus and go to another hotel first before go to the Dr. Sun Yat Sen Mausoleum.

中山陵 Zhong ShanLing (Dr. Sun Yat Sen Mausoleum)

This Mausoleum is located at the foot of the second peak of Mount Zijin (Purple Mountain) in Nanjing. Purple Mountain location is in the middle of the city and become the green area, because there are a lot of trees on it. Dr. Sun Yat Sen Mausoleum is in the middle and at the top of the mountain. This place is where Dr. Sun Yat Sen was buried. We all know that Dr. Sun Yat Sen is one of the most influencing people in China. Sun, considered to be the “Father of Modern China” who fought against the imperial Qing government and after the 1911 revolution ended the monarchy and founded the Republic of China.

This place is incredibly huge. There is hundred of stairs we must step to reach to the top building. There is nothing to see at the top, but the scenery is beautiful.

Because we must follow the tour group, then we don’t have too much time here. After several minutes sightseeing, we asked to gather again to go to the next place. The next place to visit is Ming XiaoLing Mausoleum. This place is near to Dr. Sun Yat Sen Mausoleum.

明孝陵 Ming XiaoLing (Ming XiaoLing Mausoleum)

This is some kind of museum where we can see a lot of history about Ming dynasty. This place is actually the tomb of the Hongwu Emperor, the founder of the Ming Dynasty. It located in south area of Purple Mountain (in the same island where Dr. Sun Yat Sen Mausoleum located).

After looking around about 20 minutes, then we gathered again at the Ming Xiaoling Mausoleum entrance gate. From here, we continue our journey by bus and stop at a restaurant in Nanjing. After we eat we continue our journey to 黄山Huangshan. It’s quite a long of journey. I estimate it’s need about more than 5 hours from Nanjing to Huangshan, so we spent a lot of time in bus today.

We finally arrive at Huangshan around 6 o’clock. Because i and my girlfriend are the only foreign people in the group, we must stay in different hotel than where the local people in tour group stayed. I also must go to the police station first to make a  report, so i can stay at the hotel without passport. We only stayed at the hotel at night. Because there is no place to go in Huangshan. Huangshan is a small town and there is no good place to go beside the mountain that we want to climb tomorrow.
