I am one type of people who love traveling so much. In the future, if i already reach financial freedom and have lot of free time in life, i wish i can travel visiting every country arround the world as far as i can. I don’t have that opportunity until now. But i am very fortunate that i already visit several countries abroad even its only in South East Asia. And from several countries i already visited, one of my favorite country is Singapore. Why i love Singapore? This is the only country where you can go on every corner on the city by walking. And no doubt this is the cleanest city in the world. Lot of public services like Bus, MRT is several points that make me love Singapore so much. For you who haven’t already visited Singapore, i recommend you to visit this country at least once. It’s already the 4th day of my tour in Singapore. Today we spend our time to visit couple of unique place in Singapore. We also spent time by go to the busiest shopping Street in Singapore (Orchad Road). In the morning we visit Fontain of Wealth, that is well known as the largest fountain in the world.
Fontain of Wealth : The Largest Fontain in The World
Fontain of Wealth is recorded in Guinness Book of Record as the largest fontain in the world in 1998. As written in its name, this place is rumored can bring good luck for the visitors that walk arround there. Actually, this fontain is exist in my hometown. Because in Surabaya (my city), there are a residence house complex that adopted Singapore city as the design. Fontain of Wealth is located in one of Singapore’s largest shopping malls, Suntec City. To go to this place i use MRT near my hotel from Brash Basah Station and down at Promenade station (orange line). After exit the MRT, we just cross the street and we already arrived at Fontain of Wealth. Arround the fontain of wealth there are five skyscrapers building. These five well known as Suntec Tower 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5.

On the second day of my travel to Singapore, i spent my whole day at Universal Studio Singapore (USS Singapore). This international theme park just officialy opened on April 2010. So it’s not until half year since the opening. We are so excited can come to this theme park. Because it is the second Universal Studios to open in Asia, after Japan. This park right now is one of the must visited destination in South Asia during vacation. Universal Studio Singapore occupied about 20 hectares (almost half of 49 hectares) from the Resorts Worlds Sentosa area. Inside the park there are 24 attractions and 7 thematic place, which takes blockbuster movie theme on each place. There are many famous movie (Jurrasic Park, Shrek, Madagascar, The Mummy) and famous characters in the park. This park is located on Resort World Sentosa on Sentosa Island. Because USS Singapore open at 10 o’clock (local time), so we departed from our hotel 9:30.

Yesterday is the first day of my Travel to Singapore. This is the second Travel to Singapore for me. Just like my last trip, i went to Singapore through Batam. Not like several years ago where the airplane ticket and fiscal fee was quite expensive, right now it should be more convenient and cheaper if you go from Surabaya to Singapore directly by airplane. But unfortunately, that time i ran out of airplane tickets. Because that time i suddenly invited by my friends who want to travel to singapore for the first time, so there was no enough preparation in this trip. Airplane from Surabaya to Batam should departed at 9 o’clock, but there was a delay on the flight. We finally departed from Juanda International Airport, Surabaya arround 10 o’clock.
Travel to Singapore via Batam
We finally arrived at Batam Hang Nadim Airport at 12 o’clock. If you are backpacker who like to minimize the cost, then buy Batam-Singapore Ferry Ticket at the airport. Buying ferry ticket at Airport usually about SGD $2 cheaper than buying at ferry terminal. From Airport you can go to Batam Center (The nearest ferry terminal from Airport) by taxi. The cost is about Rp. 70.000 (SGD $ 9.62). It just need 15 minutes from Batam Hang Nadim Airport to Batam Center.
