Good deeds are the source of all good things happening in the world. The more chaotic the world in recent years due to fewer good deeds done by humans. Many people today who no longer believe in the law of karma. Therefore, people are not afraid anymore to do something bad. This is the reason why the world become increasingly chaotic. So… what can we do now to make this world better? Let us start from our own. Start of our own good deeds. Sometimes something good we do for other people will be remembered, and they will also do the same thing to others. If the chain continues, it will be more and more people who do good in this world. Here is a story about how the good deeds will bring about other good deeds.

Bob Butler lost both his legs because of mine explosion during the Vietnam War in 1965. He came home as a war hero. Twenty years later, she proved that heroism comes from the heart.

Butler was working in the garage in a small town in Arizona on a hot summer day. At that moment he heard a woman screaming hysterically from behind the neighbor’s house. He pedaled his wheelchair into the house and headed to the backyard. But there is a locked fence that does not allow the wheelchair to pass. The veteran then got out of the chair, jumped over the fence with both hands and crawled through the bushes and grass as soon as possible.

“I shall soon get there,” he said. “No matter if it will hurt my body.”

When Butler arrived at the back of the house, screaming that he followed came from the pool, where there is a three-year-old girl lying on the bottom of the pond. The child was born with no arms, fell into the pool and could not swim.

Her mother stood at the edge of the pool, yelling hysterically. Butler immediately dive into the bottom of the pool and brought Stephanie out. His face already turned blue, there was no pulse and no breathing.

Butler immediately give artificial respiration when Stephanie’s mother called the fire department (911). He said all firefighters are out on duty, and there is no officer in the office. Knowing there is no hope to rescue her daughter, she cried and hugged Butler’s shoulders.

While continuing to give artificial respiration, Butler try to calm Stpehanie’s mother. “Do not worry,” he said. “I will be a hand to take him out of the pool. He’ll be fine. Now I will be her lungs. Together we will get through this.”

Two minutes later the little girl coughed, regained consciousness and began to cry. When they hugged and thanked his mother Stephanie asked how Butler could know that all will be allright.

When my legs off in the Vietnam war, I was alone in the middle of the field, Butler told me. “No one wants to come to help, except a young Vietnamese woman. With difficulty he dragged me to the village, and he whispered with his broken English, ‘Everything is OK. You could live. I became your feet. Together we can get through it all. ‘”

“Right now is my turn,” said Butler told his mother Stephanie, “To reply all that I have received.”

We are all angels with only one wings. We only can help each other, we can all fly. (Luciano De Crescenzo)

Many people today do not believe the law of cause and effect. In Buddhism this familiar with the name of Karma, in Christianity known as sowing and reaping. Basically every human actions will cause and effect. Whether it resulted directly or indirectly. Because of distrust of modern humans at this, causing so many people today are not afraid to do something bad. This is what caused the world becomes increasingly chaotic lately. The following story is a true story about the law of cause and effect which could be a good example to illustrate how the so-called sowing and reaping.

One day a young man was walking in the woods, he suddenly heard a cry for help. Apparently he saw a young age as he was struggling with a floating sludge. The more moving even deeper he sank. The first young man had desperately wanted to give his help. With great effort the second young man’s can be saved. The first young man then take the second young man returned to his home.

Unexpectedly, the second young man was a rich kid. His house is very nice, large and exceptional luxury. This young man’s father is very grateful for the help given to their children and want to give money, but the first young man had refused the gift. He said that it is proper fellow human beings to help others who need help. Since this incident they became friends.

The first young man is a poor man while the second young man was the son of a wealthy nobleman. The poor boy, aspires to become a doctor, but he did not have the cost of college. Then there is a generous scholarship that would give him until finally earned his doctor. This person is no other than the second youth’s father was helping earlier.

Do you know the name of the poor young man who eventually became a doctor in this story? His name is Alexander Fleming, who later discovered penicillin drug. The nobles young man join army and in a task to the battlefield he was severely injured causing a very high fever due to infection. At that time there is no cure for such infections. The doctors heard about the discovery of penicillin and Dr.Flemming injected him with penicillin that he found. What happens then? Gradually the fever due to infection subsided and the boy was finally cured!

Did you know who the nobles young man? His name was Winston Churchill, well-known British Prime Minister. In this story we can see the law of sowing and reaping. Flemming sow kindness and then he also reap goodness. His dream come true to become a doctor. Fleming discovered penicillin which ultimately helps the soul Churchill.

As long as we live, we interact with many people. From so many people we know, there are some people that close with us, there are not so close to us. But for some people there are several person who they think is special in their eyes. As long as we live, we can make our lives more beautiful with enthusiasm, love and care from other people. The way we interact with people determines our relationship with someone. The following story is an example of a beautiful relationship between two human beings. Although they never met, but they both have a very special relationship.

When I was still a child, my father already had a telephone in our house. This was the beginning of the phone, black color, hanging on the wall, and if you want to contact the operator, we have to spin the rotary dial and have connected with another phone number. The operator will connect manually. In a short time, I found that, if i rotate the rotary dial, a friendly voice, will say: “Operator”. And the operator is omniscient. He knew all other people’s phone numbers! He knew the restaurant phone numbers, hospitals, and even phone number of town bakery at the city border. The first experience with the operator happens when no one at home, and my left thumb pinched by the door. I was turning in pain and put it into the mouth while I remember …. “Operator!” I immediately spin the rotary dial and waited for her voice. “Here the operator …” “My thumb pinched by door …” I said, crying. Now my emotions can be overwhelming, because there is someone else listening. “Is your mother home?” She asked. “Nobody” “Is your thumb bleeding?” “No, but the color is red, and it really hurt” “Can you open the fridge?” She asked. “Yes, i could. i stand on the bench.” “Take a piece of ice and stick it on your thumb …” Since then I always call the operator if i need anything. Time can not answer the question of earth sciences, what is the name of the capital of a State, asked about mathematics. She also explained that the squirrels that I caught can be used as pets. What its eat is nut or fruit. One day, my pet bird died. I call the operator and reported the news of this grief. She listened all complaints, then speak the word commonly uttered by adults to comfort children who are sad. But my condolences too big. I asked: “Why the smart birds that can sing and always make me happy is now lying in his cage and isn’t move at all?” She said quietly: “Because he is now singing in a different world …” These words can calm me a little bit. Next time I call her again. “Here the operator” “How do you spell the word kukuruyuk?” This went on until I was 9 years old. The whole family then moved to another city. I really miss “Here the operator” I grew up be a teenager, and the childhood memories I always enjoyed. How patient this operator woman to hear all my complaints. How full of understanding and willing she is to serve a child. A few years later, when i already at college, i am on study trip to my hometown. Soon after I arrived, I called the office phone, and ask for the operator and i hear “Here the operator” Sound the same. The same warm-hearted. I asked: “Can you spelled words kukuruyuk” There was a pause. Then there is the question: “your thumb that pinched already healed right?” I laughed. “It’s You …. Wow time goes so fast. Right?” I also explain how grateful I am for all the talk with her when i was a child. I always enjoyed it. She said seriously: “I enjoyed talking with you. I’m always waiting for you to call” I tell her that she has a special place in my heart. I asked what should call her again next time. “Sure, my name is Saly” Three months later I was back to my hometown. I call telephone operator. The sound is very different. I asked to speak with the operator whose name is Saly. The voice asked “Are you her friend?” “Yes, a very old friend” “Sorry to proclaim this, Saly last few years working part time because of her illness. She died five weeks ago …” Before I hung up, suddenly the voice asked: “Excuse me, are you Mr. Paul?” “Yes” “Saly leave a message for you. She wrote it on a piece of paper, please wait for a while …..” He then read out a message from Saly: “Tell Paul, that SHE NOW SINGING IN ANOTHER WORLD … Paul will understand these words ….” I hung up the phone. I know what Saly means. Never underestimate, how you touch others life.

In life when we pass through some inconvenience experience, that time we would learn a lot of lesson. Frequently from those inconvenience experience, our thought about life would change forever. Sometimes punishment are the most frequently inconvenience experience we faced in our life. In family, parents who love their children will teach everything they think the best for their children. Sometimes to make their children become better person, they need to punish their children. As we know, “Punish” identical to scold, advise, prohibit, or hit. However, there is one action that will educate more rather than all the action i mentioned above. What I want to share today is the so-called “Punishing without Violence“. Here is a story of youth Dr. Arun Gandhi (grandson of Mahatma Gandhi)

At that time, Arun was 16 years old and living with parents in an institution founded by his grandfather (Mahatma Gandhi), in the midst of sugar cane plantation, 18 miles outside of Durban, South Africa. They live far inland and has no neighbors. Not surprisingly, Arun and two sisters are very happy if there is a chance to go into town to visit friends or watch some movies.

One day Arun’s father asks Arun to drive his father to the city to attend a full day conference. And Arun is very happy with this opportunity. Know that Arun will go to town, her mother gave up a grocery list for everyday purposes. In addition, his father also asked Arun to do a long-delayed task such as repair and service their car.

That morning, when arrived at the conference, his father said, “I meet you here at 5 pm. Then we will go home together.” Arun soon finish the job that given by his father.

Later, Arun went to the cinema, and he really amazed by John Wayne act on the movie, so he forget the time. When the time already 17:30, he just realized and immediately ran to the garage where Arun’s car seriand hurried to her father who was waiting for him had been. It was almost 18:00.

With anxious father asks Arun “Why are you late?“.

Arun is very embarrassed to admit that he was watching a John Wayne movie, so he answered “The car was not ready, so I have to wait“. In fact it turns out without the knowledge of Arun, her father has called the garage. And now her father knew that Arun lie.

Then the father said, “There’s something wrong in raising you so that you do not have courage to tell the truth to me. To punish my mistake, i will go home on foot along 18 miles and think about it carefully.“.

Then, his father began to walk home. That time it already dark, while the street was not good to walk. Arun can not leave his father, so for five and a half hours, Arun driving slowly behind him, saw his suffering father that caused by him.

Since that time, Arun never lie again.

* Statement of Arun: *

“I frequently think about this episode and was surprised. If my father punished me as we punish our children, then whether I will get a lesson about non-violence? I think not. I will suffer the punishment and do the same thing again. But, with only one non-violent action that is extraordinary, I felt the incident had just happened yesterday. That’s the power of Punish without violence. ”

George Whitefieled: “I’ve never felt better than when I do my best to God.”

The quote above remind us to always remember our identity as human beings. Do what the best for God, which is do kindness to all people in the world unconditionally. Don’t use our weakness to not doing good to other people. There is an interesting story taken from the book Chicken Soup for the Golden Soul and based on a true story which quoted from an article in Arizona newspaper in 1985, about a call for action to save others.

Bob Butler lost both his legs because of mine explosion during the Vietnam war in 1965. He returned as a war hero. Twenty years later, he proved that heroism comes from the heart.

One day in summer, Butler was working in the garage in a small town in Arizona. At that moment he heard a woman screaming hysterically from the back of his neighbor’s house. He pedaled his wheelchair into the house and headed to the backyard. But there is a locked fence that does not allow the wheelchair to pass. The veteran then got out of the chair, jump over the fence with both hands and crawled through the bushes and grass as soon as possible.

“I shall soon get there,” he said. “No matter whether it will be painful and hurt my body.”

When Butler arrived at the back of the house, he followed the screams had come to the pool, where there is a three-year-old daughter lying on the bottom of the pond. The boy was born with no arms, fell into a swimming pool and could not swim.

Her mother stood at the edge of the pool, yelling hysterically. Butler immediately dive to the bottom of the pool and brought Stephanie out. His face was blue, there was no heartbeat and no breathing.

Butler immediately give artificial respiration when Stephanie’s mother called the fire department (911). She said all the firefighters are out on duty, and no officer in the office. With no hope, she cried and hugged Butler’s shoulders.

While continuing to give artificial respiration, Butler calm Stpehanie’s mother. “Do not worry,” he said. “I’ve become his hand to take him out of the pool. He’ll be fine. Now I’m into her lungs. Together we will get through.”

Two minutes later the little girl coughed, regained consciousness and began to cry. As they hugged each other and give thanks, Stephanie’s mother asked how Butler know everything will be solved properly.

“When both my legs in the Vietnam War exploded, I was alone in the middle of the field,” Butler said. “No one wants to come to help, except a young Vietnamese woman. With difficulty she dragged my body to the village, and she whispered with his bad English, ‘Everything is OK. You can live. I became your feet. Together we can get through it all. ‘ ”

“Right now my turn,” said Butler told to Stephanie’s mother, “To reply all that I have received.”

Things to LEARN from the story :

The story above tells how Butler care to the voice he heard that make him to help even though his condition was not possible to help (Butler had lost both his legs). But it does not shrink his intention to help with his limitations. INCREDIBLE! Now what about us?

Okay. Today i share a very touching story about lizards. This story came from Japan. In this story we will learn about love again. With love, anything can happen. Nothing imposibble for love. Here are the story

When renovating a house, someone tried to broke down the wall. Houses in Japan usually have an empty space between the walls that made from wood. When the walls start falling, he found a lizard trapped between the empty space in his feet attached to a letter.

He felt pity but curious too. Then after he checked the letter, he apparently know that the letter existed there 10 years ago when the house was first built.

What happened ? How lizards can survive with conditions that trapped for 10 years?

In the dark for 10 years, without moving a muscle , it is something that is impossible and unreasonable .
The man then thought, how the lizard that can survive for 10 years without moving from his place since his leg attached to the letter ! How does he eat?

The man then stopped the work and pay attention to the lizard . What the lizard do and what to eat to survive. Then after a while, do not know where it comes from, the other lizard come up with food in its mouth ..

The man was touched to see that. Turns out there was a lizard who always noticed that the lizard was trapped for 10 years.

It was a love, love is beautiful. Love can happen even in small animals such as two- tailed lizard is. What can be done by love ? Of course, a miracle. Imagine, the lizard was never surrendered and never stopped take care of its friends for 10 years. Imagine how small animals like them have a really amazing gifts…

So… Never abandon your loved ones ! Love other people with pure heart and don’t expect something back then your life will be much happier.

What you achieve now is a result of the small thing that you do continuously. Success is not something suddenly falling down from the sky. If you believe in the purpose and the way you are , then you should have the perseverance to keep trying . Perseverance is your ability to survive in the midst of stress and difficulty. You should still take the next step . Do not just stop at the first step . It is the further you walk , the many obstacles that block. Imagine , just yesterday, in case you stop , you will not be here now . Each step increase your value . Whatever you do, not to lose your hard work. Because Perseverance is your endurance .

There some words said ” thousands kilometers of steps begins with one step “. A big step actually consists of many small steps. And the first step of success have you seen from your home . Your home is the best for your heart . That’s the best place for the start and to return . So start your progress with the development of your heart and your mind and your efforts . Coming hard when what you’re doing really comes from your heart .

Treat Problem as a Gift

When you consider the problem as a load , you may avoid it. When you consider the problem as a challenge , you may face . However , the problem should be a gift you receive happily. Because all problem always train you and make you better people. Just imagine if you don’t have a problem at all in your life. You’ll become weak people and can’t do anything great in this life. I frequently found great people achieve their success after faced some severe problem in their lifes. With sharp eyes, you should see a successful reversal of every problem .

Problems are the stairs leading to higher power. So, face it and transform it as your strength to succeed. It doesn’t matter, if you can’t achieve success. In fact, we can’t avoid problem in lifes, therefore, accept them as a gift.

The biggest prize given by the eagle to their children are not pieces of food in the morning. Neither do the warm in the cold night. However, it is when they threw them from a high cliff. The first moment the eaglet believe that their mother was so extreme. But an hour later, what they receive is not death, but the true power as eagle for themself, that is flying . If you do not dare to overcome the problem, you will failed in the rest of your life

Today i will share a motivational story about struggle and hard work. Sometimes as human, we feel very lazy. Because of this laziness, we often do not do things properly. We do not attempt our best effort. In the end, what we obtained only regrets in the future. This story is about a carpenter and his house. Hope it can inspire you…

An old carpenter intends to retire from his job at a construction and real estate company. He tell his wish to the company’s owners. Of course, if he don’t work anymore then he will lose his monthly income, but the decision was unanimous. He felt tired. He want to relax and enjoy the rest of his day peacefully with his wife and his family.

The owner of the company was sad to lose one of his best employee. He then pleaded to carpenter to build a house for the last time. Carpenter nodded approved the company owner’s request .
But, in fact he felt forced. He wants to stop soon. His heart was not fully expended. Reluctantly he was working on that project. But he’s just using modest materials and he finally finished the house. The result is not a good house. It was an unfortunate way to end his career with a unsatisfactory work like that.
When the owner of the company came to inspect the house which he asked, he gave a house key to the carpenter. “This is your house,” he said, “a gift from us.”
What a shock!. What a shame and remorse. If only he knows that he is actually working on a house for himself, he would build with completely another way.
Now he must live in a house that was not to well built.

That is what happened in our lives. Sometimes, many of us build a life with a confusing way. Prefer to do something perfunctory rather than striving for good. Sometimes in part of most important thing in our lives, we still does not give our best effort. At the end, we sometimes suprise to what we have done and find ourselves living in a house that we create by ourself.
If we knew from the beginning, we are going to live this life with a much different way.
Think that we are the carpenter. Think about the house we are building. Every day we hit the nail, put up signs, build a wall and roof. Let’s finish our homes as best as we can, just like if we only have one chance in a lifetime. Our future is the result of our attitudes and the choices we do today.

Stanford University is one of the greatest and the most famous university in the world right now. Stanford enrolls approximately 6,800 undergraduate and 8,300 graduate students from the United States and around the world. Stanford is ranked second among world universities by the Academic Ranking of World Universities, and its undergraduate program is currently ranked fourth in the nation by U.S. News & World Report. But there only a few of people who knows about the story how Leland Stanford and Jane Stanford built the university the first time.Maybe this article has been posted many times in emails or on other sites. But there’s nothing wrong I will repeat this amazing story once again here. Here’s the story of the beginnings of the establishment of a world-renowned universities.

A woman who wear her faded dress hold her husband hand who wearing simple and shabby clothing, got off the train in Boston, and walked timidly toward the head office of Harvard University.
Upon arrival, the secretary of the University already despise them and thought that they are only village people who don’t have any business at all in Harvard and probably did not deserve to be in Cambridge.

"We want to see Head of Harvard University," the husband said softly.
"Today, he was very busy," said the Secretary fastly.
"We’ll wait," replied the woman.

During four hours the secretary ignored them, hoping that the couple would finally become discouraged and leave. But they were not. The secretary getting frustrated, and finally decided to report to the leaders.

"Maybe if you meet them for a few minutes, they’ll go," he said to the Head of Harvard University.

The head of university sighed and nodded grimly. People as important as him would not have time for them. And when he saw two people dressed in faded and threadbare clothes outside his office, his displeasure already emerged. The head of Harvard, with a stern face finally meet the couple.

The woman told him, "We have a son who studies the first year at Harvard. He loved Harvard and happy here. But a year ago, he died in an accident. We want to establish a warning for him, somewhere on this campus. may I? "he asked, with eyes that hope.
The head of Harvard is not touched, even his face reddening. He looked surprised.

"Madame," he said brusquely, "We can not build monuments to every person who entered Harvard and died. If we do that, this place would have been like a tomb. "
"Oh, no," the lady explained quickly, "We do not want to establish a memorial. We want to give a building to Harvard. "

The head of the Harvard rolled her eyes. He glanced at the faded shirt and threadbare clothes they wear and shouted, "A building! Do you know what the price of a building? You need to have more than 7.5 million dollars just for the physical building to Harvard. "

For a moment she was silent. The head of Harvard’s happy. Maybe he can be rid of them now. The woman turned to her husband and said quietly, "If only as much as it cost to start a university, why do not we make yourself?"
Her husband nodded. Head of Harvard’s face showed confusion. Mr. and Mrs. Leland Stanford got up and walked away, traveling to Palo Alto, California, where they founded a university that bears their name, a memorial to a child who is no longer neglected by Harvard.

The university is Stanford University, one of the favorite universities in the U.S. upper class.

The moral message we can learn from the story is “dont judge by the cover”. As head of Harvard, we often dazzled by the clothes, and the outer apperance. In fact, behind the clothes, sometimes there are priceless thing we can’t imagine. So, let us not always neglect, because the clothes, often deceptive.

All this time, I frequently heard some words like this. “A was succeed because he had talent,” “B since born was genius, not surprise knowing that he become successful people now,” and etc… etc.. In our daily life, I guess you were too often hear things like that. Many people assume that success, intelligence, expertise is something that is pure acquired from birth.
