Yesterday i just watched a film titled Top Secret : Wai Roon Pun Lan (Thai : Top Secret วัยรุ่นพันล้าน) or The Billionaire. This is a 2011 Thai drama movie that based on a true story of Top Ittipat, CEO of Taokaenoi Food & Marketing Co., LTD, the company that produced Tao Kae Noi, delicious seaweed snack that can be founded in a lot of supermarket in Asia-Pasific area. Tae Kae Noi itself means Young Entrepreneur. I personally also like to eat Tao Kae Noi. It’s very delicious and make me addicted to eat it. So it very interesting to watch the story behind a man who create this product. Top Ittipat story is one of obvious example where optimistic, trusting, and persevering is one the key to be success. The movie teach us to never surrender. You can be weak, but never surrender in order to keep the game going. This movie could become a great source of inspiration for the new entrepreneurs.

Who is Top Ittipat?

His full name is Aitthipat Kulapongvanich. Top Ittipat is one of the youngest Billionaire in the world. He is the CEO of Taokaenoi Food & Marketing Co., LTD, the company that dominate 70% of seaweed market share in Thailand.

When he was still 16 years old, he was an online game addict. Even though, he gained success at playing online games and winning tournament prizes. He able to generated 400 thousand baht from online game. Because of his hobby playing online game, he often been underestimated by his teachers at school. He finally decide dropped out from school to become chestnut peddler when he was 17 years old. He invested his money into selling fried chestnuts, which became popular in Thailand.

One year after that, his family went bankrupt and his father had debt 40 million baht. That time, all of his family decided to go to Shanghai, China. Top Ittipat refuse to came along with his family and continue to continue his business in Thailand. Struggle with several difficulty, Top never give up and keep trying to reach success. His roasted chestnut business that located in shopping mall success to bring 3 million baht income per month. But Tesco management finally prohibited his roasting machine because the smoke carried the smell over the mall and dirtied mall’s ceiling. Because no roasting activity, the sales dropped.

When he was 19 years old, he created new product which are dried fruit and seaweed snacks called “Tae Kae Noi”. After a few months, the seaweed became best selling product of the booth and it took over Chestnut sales.

A few months later, Top found an idea to make his business growing faster. He applied his products to 7-Eleven. Now, Tao Kae Noi is sold in more than 3,000 7-Eleven branch in Thailand. 2 years after his products entered 7 Eleven, Top could pay his father debt. Top Ittipat is 27 years old this year. He is the owner of company that produce best selling seaweed that can generate more than 1 billion baht per year. His company employee reached 2,500 employees.

Now, Tao Kae Noi products was exported to 27 countries around the world, including Japan, Taiwan, Singapore, United States. Top even had his own seaweed plantations at South Korea.

About Top Secret : Wai Roon Pun Lan movie

I actually know this movie from the forum i frequently visit. There are many people who recommend this movie.However, I am a little surprised with the least reference about this movie on the internet. I can not even find it on Wikipedia. Even on IMDB, this film has very minimal information. There is no cover images and screenshots. Until i wrote this article, number of user reviews of this film was only 25 users (including me). In my opinion, this movie had a very good value. The film is very motivating and inspiring. So with no hesitation, I put this film into one of my favorite motivation movie list.
While googling, i found some facts related to this film on Cinema Online website. Cinema Online did the interview with Top Ittipat himself. Ittipat said that the character in the movie Top Secret: Roon Pun Wai Lan is a little different with him. The character is stronger because the director want to strengthen Ittipat character in the film. But the story of the film is still 80% in accordance with the original story. Ittipat said to be succeed, we needed unyielding spirit. There is one of his words in the end of the film that i never forget.

Sometimes we were not always satisfied with the existing situation. Currently, there are a lot of teenagers are not happy with their life. Although they are have all what they want, but they always feel there is something lack in their lives. This is one of three poisons of the human heart. That is greedy. Not appreciate what we owned, but we always want what does not belong. Today I will share a story about a story on Christmas Day. The last day before Christmas, I rush to the supermarket to buy gifts for chrismast. Actually i don’t have a plan to buy gifts. When looking at the crowd, I began to complain: “It’s going to take forever, and I still have many places to go.” Christmas really annoying every years. I wish I could lie down and sleep and only wake up after. However, I keep running to the toy section, and there I began to curse the prices, wondering if all the kids will really play with such expensive toys.

As I was looking, I saw a child about 5 years old boy, hugging a doll. He kept on touching the hair of the doll and looked so sad. I wondered who the doll was for. The boy approached an old woman near him: “Granny, are you sure I do not have enough money?” The old lady replied: “You know that you do not have enough money to buy this doll, dear.” She then asked him to wait there for about 5 minutes while she went to another place. The boy was still holding the doll in his hand.

Finally, I approached him and asked who he wanted to give this doll. “This is the doll that my sister loved and wanted so much for this Christmas. He believes Santa Claus would bring it to her.” I said maybe Santa Claus would bring to her sister, and that he should not worry. But the boy replied sadly, “No, Santa Claus can not bring it to the place where she is now. I have to give it to my mother, so mommy could give it when mama got there.” The boy’s eyes were so sad while saying this “My sister is gone to God. Daddy said that mommy soon will go to God too, then I think mommy can bring this doll to give to my sister.” My heart seemed to stop.
That boy looked up at me and said: “I want daddy to tell mommy not to go first. I asked her to wait until I get home from the supermarket.” Then he showed a photograph of her laughing. Then he said: “I want mommy took this photo so she will not forget me. I love my mommy and I wish she did not leave me but daddy says that she should go with my brother.” Then he looked at the doll with sad silence.

I quickly reached for my wallet and take some notes and said to the boy. “What if we check again, maybe there is enough money?.” “Ok” he said. “I hope I have enough.” I added my money to his without him seeing and we started counting. There was enough for the doll, and even some spare money. The little boy said: “Thank you God for giving me enough money” Then he looked at me and added: “Yesterday before bed I asked God to make sure I have enough money to buy this doll so that mommy could give it to my sister. He heard me. I also want to buy a white rose for mommy, but I dared not asking too much to God. But He gave me enough to buy a doll and a white rose. You know, my mom likes white roses.”

A few minutes later, his grandmother went back and i go back to queue. I finished my shopping in a totally different mood than when I started. I can not remove him from my mind. Then I remembered a local newspaper article two days ago, which claimed a man driving a truck in a drunken condition and struck a car containing a young woman and a little girl. The little girl died right away, and her mother in critical condition. His family had to decide whether to pull the life support, because she would not be able to get out of the coma. I just wonder whether they are families of this child?

2 days after meeting with the little boy, I read in the newspaper that the young woman had passed away. I could not stop myself and go buy a bunch of white roses and then go to the funeral home where the bodies of the young woman was. She was there, in her coffin, holding a beautiful white rose with a doll and a boy photograph over her chest. I left the place crying, feeling that my life has changed forever. That boy’s love to the mother and sister, is difficult to imagine.

Bob Butler lost both his legs because of mine explosion during the Vietnam War in 1965. He came home as a war hero. Twenty years later, she proved that heroism comes from the heart.

Butler immediately give artificial respiration when Stephanie’s mother called the fire department (911). He said all firefighters are out on duty, and there is no officer in the office. Knowing there is no hope to rescue her daughter, she cried and hugged Butler’s shoulders.

While continuing to give artificial respiration, Butler try to calm Stpehanie’s mother. “Do not worry,” he said. “I will be a hand to take him out of the pool. He’ll be fine. Now I will be her lungs. Together we will get through this.”

Two minutes later the little girl coughed, regained consciousness and began to cry. When they hugged and thanked his mother Stephanie asked how Butler could know that all will be allright.

When my legs off in the Vietnam war, I was alone in the middle of the field, Butler told me. “No one wants to come to help, except a young Vietnamese woman. With difficulty he dragged me to the village, and he whispered with his broken English, ‘Everything is OK. You could live. I became your feet. Together we can get through it all. ‘”

Many people today do not believe the law of cause and effect. In Buddhism this familiar with the name of Karma, in Christianity known as sowing and reaping. In life when we pass through some inconvenience experience, that time we would learn a lot of lesson. Frequently from those inconvenience experience, our thought about life would change forever. Sometimes punishment are the most frequently inconvenience experience we faced in our life. In family, parents who love their children will teach everything they think the best for their children. Sometimes to make their children become better person, they need to punish their children. As we know, “Punish” identical to scold, advise, prohibit, or hit. Okay. Today i share a very touching story about lizards. This story came from Japan. In this story we will learn about love again. With love, anything can happen. Nothing imposibble for love. Here are the story

When renovating a house, someone tried to broke down the wall. Houses in Japan usually have an empty space between the walls that made from wood. When the walls start falling, he found a lizard trapped between the empty space in his feet attached to a letter.

He felt pity but curious too. Then after he checked the letter, he apparently know that the letter existed there 10 years ago when the house was first built.

What happened ? How lizards can survive with conditions that trapped for 10 years?

In the dark for 10 years, without moving a muscle , it is something that is impossible and unreasonable .
The man then thought, how the lizard that can survive for 10 years without moving from his place since his leg attached to the letter ! How does he eat?

The man then stopped the work and pay attention to the lizard . What the lizard do and what to eat to survive. Then after a while, do not know where it comes from, the other lizard come up with food in its mouth ..

The biggest prize given by the eagle to their children are not pieces of food in the morning. Neither do the warm in the cold night. However, it is when they threw them from a high cliff. The first moment the eaglet believe that their mother was so extreme. But an hour later, what they receive is not death, but the true power as eagle for themself, that is flying . Today i will share a motivational story about struggle and hard work. Sometimes as human, we feel very lazy. Because of this laziness, we often do not do things properly. We do not attempt our best effort. In the end, what we obtained only regrets in the future. This story is about a carpenter and his house. Hope it can inspire you…

An old carpenter intends to retire from his job at a construction and real estate company. He tell his wish to the company’s owners. Of course, if he don’t work anymore then he will lose his monthly income, but the decision was unanimous. He felt tired. He want to relax and enjoy the rest of his day peacefully with his wife and his family.

The owner of the company was sad to lose one of his best employee. He then pleaded to carpenter to build a house for the last time. Carpenter nodded approved the company owner’s request .
But, in fact he felt forced. He wants to stop soon. His heart was not fully expended. Reluctantly he was working on that project. But he’s just using modest materials and he finally finished the house. The result is not a good house. It was an unfortunate way to end his career with a unsatisfactory work like that.
When the owner of the company came to inspect the house which he asked, he gave a house key to the carpenter. “This is your house,” he said, “a gift from us.”
What a shock!. What a shame and remorse. If only he knows that he is actually working on a house for himself, he would build with completely another way.
Now he must live in a house that was not to well built.

That is what happened in our lives. Sometimes, many of us build a life with a confusing way. Prefer to do something perfunctory rather than striving for good. Sometimes in part of most important thing in our lives, we still does not give our best effort. At the end, we sometimes suprise to what we have done and find ourselves living in a house that we create by ourself.
If we knew from the beginning, we are going to live this life with a much different way.
Think that we are the carpenter. Think about the house we are building. Every day we hit the nail, put up signs, build a wall and roof. Let’s finish our homes as best as we can, just like if we only have one chance in a lifetime. Our future is the result of our attitudes and the choices we do today.
