January 13th, 2013 No comments

I just saw an Indian movie titled English Vinglish yesterday. Beside 3 Idiots, this is Indian movie that i really enjoy to watch. The story is about an ordinary housewife named Shashi Godbole who is often underestimated by other family member. Her husband always think that she is just an ordinary woman who can’t do anything else except making and selling laddoos (Indian food). Meanwhile, her daughter always underestimated her, because of her poor English. One day, she has to attend her niece’s wedding in the United States of America. Because all of her family member have been busy, Sashi must go to America by herself. Her family will join her later when the wedding closes in. In America, she has to experience some unpleasant experience just because of her poor English. Since that incident, she become encouraged to learn English and want to prove that she can also do something great in her life.

English Vinglish

For me, this film is very inspirational movie and i learn a lot from this movie. Because the story of Sashi is very similar to our ordinary life. The reason why i love Indian movie is that they usually teach something for us to learn from their film. This film try to tell about how great peoples can be if they already found passion in their life. Another important lesson i got from this movie is that never underestimate people, just by looking her job, position or educational background. When looking at the crowd, I began to complain: “It’s going to take forever, and I still have many places to go.” Christmas really annoying every years. I wish I could lie down and sleep and only wake up after. However, I keep running to the toy section, and there I began to curse the prices, wondering if all the kids will really play with such expensive toys. Read more…

Wonderful Story : Never Stop Helping Each Other

September 30th, 2010 No comments

George Whitefieled: “I’ve never felt better than when I do my best to God.”

The quote above remind us to always remember our identity as human beings. Do what the best for God, which is do kindness to all people in the world unconditionally. Don’t use our weakness to not doing good to other people. There is an interesting story taken from the book Chicken Soup for the Golden Soul and based on a true story which quoted from an article in Arizona newspaper in 1985, about a call for action to save others.

Bob Butler lost both his legs because of mine explosion during the Vietnam war in 1965. He returned as a war hero. Twenty years later, he proved that heroism comes from the heart.

One day in summer, Butler was working in the garage in a small town in Arizona. At that moment he heard a woman screaming hysterically from the back of his neighbor’s house. He pedaled his wheelchair into the house and headed to the backyard. But there is a locked fence that does not allow the wheelchair to pass. The veteran then got out of the chair, jump over the fence with both hands and crawled through the bushes and grass as soon as possible.

I shall soon get there,” he said. “No matter whether it will be painful and hurt my body.”

He felt pity but curious too. Then after he checked the letter, he apparently know that the letter existed there 10 years ago when the house was first built.

What happened ? How lizards can survive with conditions that trapped for 10 years?

Perseverance is your strength. Treat Problem as a Gift

August 7th, 2010 4 comments

What you achieve now is a result of the small thing that you do continuously. Success is not something suddenly falling down from the sky. If you believe in the purpose and the way you are , then you should have the perseverance to keep trying . Perseverance is your ability to survive in the midst of stress and difficulty. You should still take the next step . Do not just stop at the first step . It is the further you walk , the many obstacles that block. Imagine , just yesterday, in case you stop , you will not be here now . Each step increase your value . Whatever you do, not to lose your hard work. Because Perseverance is your endurance .

There some words said ” thousands kilometers of steps begins with one step “. A big step actually consists of many small steps. And the first step of success have you seen from your home . Your home is the best for your heart . That’s the best place for the start and to return . So start your progress with the development of your heart and your mind and your efforts . Coming hard when what you’re doing really comes from your heart .
