After a very tired day climbing Huangshan mountain yesterday, we must wake up early today to continue our trip to the next city. We departed from our hotel at 6 o’clock and heading to Hangzhou by bus. Along the way, we visited a very famous scenery place in China, 千岛湖 Qiandao Hu (Thousand Island Lake). This place located at Zhejiang, China. After about 3 hours of trip, we finally arrived at Thousand Island Lake.

千岛湖 Qiandao Hu (Thousand Island Lake)

Qiandao Hu is known as the hometown of Sun Quan, Emperor of Wu kingdom in Three Kingdoms Era. When i search on the internet, i just know that Thousand Island receives about 5 million tourists annually and it has been honored as one of the three best tourism areas in China, besides the capital Beijing and the Three Gorges of the Yangtze River. The Thousand-Island Lake is also honored as “World’s Garden City” and “China’s Best Preserved Ecological Town“. But honestly, based on my opinion i feel that the honor titles are a little bit too much. There are a lot of a place like this in my country. So even it is beautiful, but i don’t think that this place is extraordinary and make it as a place you can’t missed when when you go to China.

Travel in China Day 3 (Huangshan) : Climbing Huangshan Mountain

I was too tired to write a blog post after climbing 黄山 Huangshan mountain yesterday. So, i just wrote the journey now. On the third day, we departed from our hotel around 7 o’clock and we would climb Huangshan mountain. We switched the bus at the bus station and then go to Huangshan mountain starting point. When arrived, the tour guide ask to us about what way we want to choose. There are two options which are the easy way (cable car) or the hard way (walking). The hard way is climbing the mountain by foot and it is totally free of charge. Meanwhile the easy way is go to the top of the mountain by using RMB 75 cable car. Because i see all the young people in our tour group choose to walk, then i and my girlfriend choose the same way.

Travel in China (Tianjin) : 西沽公园 Xigu Gongyuan (Xigu Park)

Vacation is over. Today is the last day of my vacation. Tomorrow I have to go back to school to learn Mandarin again. Spend the remaining time left, I went to a park named 西沽公园 Xigu Gongyuan (Xigu Park) in Tianjin. There is one thing that is quite unique from all parks in Tianjin. Each park here has specific theme. For example, 水上公园 (Water Park) is a water themed park, while 北宁公园 (Beining Park) is a pagoda themed park. What about Xigu Park?  This park is a forest themed Park. From my campus, i go by MRT and stop at 洪湖里 Honghu Li. I get out from gate A and walk to 光荣道 Guangrong Dao Bus stop. From there i take bus 879路 and down at 北洋职专 Beiyang Zhi Zhuan. The bus take about 1 hour of trip.
