We spent the 5th day to visit several places in Singapore. The first place we visit was Marina Bay. Because it’s quite far to go by MRT and Bus, we took taxi to go to this place. I spent about S$26 to go from my hotel at Bencoolen Street to Marina Bay Sands building. Now Marina Bay Sands has become one of the icon of Singapore, because this building is very unique and its architecture design is the only one in the world. Marina Bay Sands comprising three building that topped by a park on the top of those three building.

Marina Bay Sands : Three Building that Linked by Skypark above its

Marina Bay Sands is an integrated resort that developed by Las Vegas Sands(the one that built The Venetian Las Vegas and The Venetian Macau). This building separated into three building and divided into seven main structures. It said that there are more than 2,000 hotel rooms inside the building. Inside the building you can find casino, hotel, restaurants and theatre. On the top of the three building What make the building unique is the park on the top of the building. The three building is linked by a park called Marina Bay Sands Skypark on its top.

After arrived at Marina Bay Sands, i directly go to this park. To go to this Skypark, you can go to Lobby at Tower 3. You can found a locket office there. The entrance ticket is S$20. From ticket office, just follow the sign board to go to the lift. It is not too far from Skypark locket office.

Marina Bay Sands Skypark : The Highest Park in the World

After up to 56th floor, i finally arrived at the Skypark. Just come out from the lift, i was entertained by a magician. It show me a magic trick using rubber band. He was changing a common rubber band into starred rubber band. It was entertaining. After encountered the magician, i continue to look around. There is about 150-metre-long infinite pool on the right side of the park. The pool is very unique, because it seems there is no border on the other side. You can enjoy the view of Singapore city from height while swimming. I can watch almost all of Singapore from this park. In this park, i enjoyed the beautiful scenery of Singapore as long as i can. But too bad the weather was very hot that time, so my friend asked me to got out from that park.

Marina Bay Casino : The Most Luxurious Casino in South East Asia

From Marina Bay Sands Skypark, i go to Marina Bay Casino. To enter the casino, we need to wear something formal. We also must show the passport to enter the casino. I don’t enter the casino because my friend has not 21 years old. Marina Bay Casino was opened 2 years ago. It is known as the second casino in South East Asia after Genting Highland Casino in Malaysia. From the casino, i walked around in the Marina Bay Sands Mall for about 30 minutes and then went back to the hotel before go to next destination. I decide took a lunch first before continued my trip. After took a lunch and rest for a while, i continued the trip to next destination. That’s Singapore Flyer. Especially for today, we use local tour travel in the hotel to go to several places. Actually i reluctant to go via tour agent, but one of my friend seems not in good mood. So i decide to take the trip using local tour travel agent. We was picked from the hotel around 3:30 pm. The first destination is Singapore Flyer. If you want to go by yourself to Singapore Flyer, you can take the MRT and down at Promenade Station (orange line).

Singapore Flyer : The Tallest Ferris Wheel in The World

Singapore Flyer is giant ferris wheel. As i know it’s recorded as the largest and tallest ferris wheel in the world. It total height is about 165 m, taller than Star of Nanchang (China) and London Eye (England). The ticket to ride this Singapore Flyer is SGD$29.50 for adult, $20.65 for children (3-12 years old) and SGD$ 23.60 for elderly. The views from above is very good. I can see stadium, F1 circuit, Marina Bay, Marina Sands Skypark, Singapore River and almost all place in Singapore from above. I just wonder it will be more beautiful if i ride the ferris wheel at night. But i decide not to take a ride again, because the ticket is not considered cheap.

From Singapore Flyer, we continued our journey to Merlion Statue.

Merlion Statue : Singapore Mascot

This merlion statue located at front of Fullerton Hotel Singapore. If you want to go by yourself, you can take the bus and down at Fullerton Sq station. You can also use the MRT and down at Raffles Palaces station (red / green line), but you still have to walk a little far to Merlion Statue. Merlion is the mascot of Singapore. Merlion is a mythical creature half lion and half mermaid (fish). This Merlion statue is a bit different than when i visited 6 years ago. Seems there are a lot of new contructions around this area in recent years. We enjoyed the beautiful scenery there. It’s already a little dark when we arrived at this place. After took some picture in this place, we continued our journey to Boat Quay. This place is very near to Merlion Statue. You can walk from Merlion Statue to Boat Quay.

Boat Quay : Western Village beside the River

This place is like western village in Singapore. This place is full of bars, pubs and restaurants. We took a dinner at this place. The view in Boat Quay is beautiful, because the restaurant is beside the river. You can see how beautiful Singapore city in the night from this place. We had a dinner on one restaurant. It’s very comforting to know that the restaurant can cook vegetarian dishes for me. So i could eat with the tour group that time. After took a dinner, we continued our journey to Clarke Quay.

Clarke Quay : One of Most Beautiful Places in Singapore at Night

Clarkey Quay is one of historical riverside quay in Singapore. This place has been converted into a pedestrian mall. This is one of my favorite place to visit in Singapore at night. The scenery here is incredibly beautiful. When i went there, there were 12 chinese zodiac lantern along the banks of the river. It was really beautiful. You can find a lot of unique restaurants, pubs, bars here. There are also some traditional market near the bridge. You can also play G-MAX reverse bungee for you who like thrilling experience. In the middle of the area, you can also find unique Turkey ice cream stand. The price is a little bit expensive (SGD$ 3), but see how the stand keeper make the ice cream is very interesting.
