Continue my guide about On Page SEO, today i will share to you about how to maximize Title Tag in WordPress for SEO Benefit. If you haven’t read about my On Page SEO guide, i recommend you to read this page first. As i ever explain, one of factor that will influence SEO, is the use of keyword in Heading H1, H2 and H3. H1 Tag is recommended to be used just only once in a website page. The problem is most wordpress theme set their blog title as H1 and their post title as H2. By using this kind of wordpress theme, you will have problem to optimize your keyword. Just for example, if you pick iPhone 6 as your keywords and your blog title is Gadget and Cellphone Info, you will miss the use of keyword in H1 for iPhone 6 keywords, because there is no iPhone 6 in your blog title.

3. Click header.php and search the code below :

<h1>

<?php bloginfo('name'); ?></a></h1>
<div class="description">
<?php bloginfo('description'); ?>
</div>

4. Replace the code with :

<?php if(is_single() OR is_page()) {
// On single post pages and static pages we use this code
?>
<h2><a href="<?php echo get_option('home'); ?>/"><?php bloginfo('name'); ?></a></h2>
<div class="description"><?php bloginfo('description'); ?></div>
<?php }
else {
// On home page and archive style pages we use this code
?>
<h1><a href="<?php echo get_option('home'); ?>/"><?php bloginfo('name'); ?></a></h1>
<div class="description"><?php bloginfo('description'); ?></div>
<?php } ?>
