Google Drive : Store Your Files in Google Server

Couple days ago, Google officially launched their new software, Google Drive. Today i has already tested this Google software. Google Drive is service that make it as home of all your files beside your computer hard drive. Google Drive can store up to 5 Gb (5120 MB). You can upgrade storage if you feel not enough with the existing storage. With Google Drive, you can access your files anywhere as long there is internet connection and Google Account. Google Drive is available for PC, Mac and Android devices. iPhone and Ipad version still in development and be launched soon.

What we can do with this Google Drive?

  1. Create documents, spreadsheets and presentations online
    If you already familiar with Google Docs, Google Drive will replace Google Docs functionality. You can create documents, spreadsheets and presentations files and store them on Google Server. The difference is Google Drive have a very large space of hard drive. So you can create as much as document as you want.

  2. Files Sharing
    If you want to share files, applications, pictures, videos, you don’t need to have your own hosting or send them through email. You can store all your files in Google Drive and share them to your friends.

Install Google Drive Applications

I already installed Google Drive Application for Mac. With this application, you can view your files that was stored in Google server offline. You can also sync the files so you can easily copy the files you want to share in Google Drive through your Finder (Windows Explorer in Windows).

If you see any benefit you can exploit from this new Google service, i recommend you to install Google Drive in your computer. If you want to use Google Drive just go to http://drive.google.com
