Sometimes we were not always satisfied with the existing situation. Currently, there are a lot of teenagers are not happy with their life. Although they are have all what they want, but they always feel there is something lack in their lives. This is one of three poisons of the human heart. That is greedy. Not appreciate what we owned, but we always want what does not belong. Today I will share a story about a story on Christmas Day. Hopefully this can give you lesson and reflection that could give good benefit in our life

The last day before Christmas, I rush to the supermarket to buy gifts for chrismast. Actually i don’t have a plan to buy gifts. When looking at the crowd, I began to complain: “It’s going to take forever, and I still have many places to go.” Christmas really annoying every years. I wish I could lie down and sleep and only wake up after. However, I keep running to the toy section, and there I began to curse the prices, wondering if all the kids will really play with such expensive toys.

As I was looking, I saw a child about 5 years old boy, hugging a doll. He kept on touching the hair of the doll and looked so sad. I wondered who the doll was for. The boy approached an old woman near him: “Granny, are you sure I do not have enough money?” The old lady replied: “You know that you do not have enough money to buy this doll, dear.” She then asked him to wait there for about 5 minutes while she went to another place. The boy was still holding the doll in his hand.

Finally, I approached him and asked who he wanted to give this doll. “This is the doll that my sister loved and wanted so much for this Christmas. He believes Santa Claus would bring it to her.” I said maybe Santa Claus would bring to her sister, and that he should not worry. But the boy replied sadly, “No, Santa Claus can not bring it to the place where she is now. I have to give it to my mother, so mommy could give it when mama got there.” The boy’s eyes were so sad while saying this “My sister is gone to God. Daddy said that mommy soon will go to God too, then I think mommy can bring this doll to give to my sister.” My heart seemed to stop.
That boy looked up at me and said: “I want daddy to tell mommy not to go first. I asked her to wait until I get home from the supermarket.” Then he showed a photograph of her laughing. Then he said: “I want mommy took this photo so she will not forget me. I love my mommy and I wish she did not leave me but daddy says that she should go with my brother.” Then he looked at the doll with sad silence.

I quickly reached for my wallet and take some notes and said to the boy. “What if we check again, maybe there is enough money?.” “Ok” he said. “I hope I have enough.” I added my money to his without him seeing and we started counting. There was enough for the doll, and even some spare money. The little boy said: “Thank you God for giving me enough money” Then he looked at me and added: “Yesterday before bed I asked God to make sure I have enough money to buy this doll so that mommy could give it to my sister. He heard me. I also want to buy a white rose for mommy, but I dared not asking too much to God. But He gave me enough to buy a doll and a white rose. You know, my mom likes white roses.”

A few minutes later, his grandmother went back and i go back to queue. I finished my shopping in a totally different mood than when I started. I can not remove him from my mind. Then I remembered a local newspaper article two days ago, which claimed a man driving a truck in a drunken condition and struck a car containing a young woman and a little girl. The little girl died right away, and her mother in critical condition. His family had to decide whether to pull the life support, because she would not be able to get out of the coma. I just wonder whether they are families of this child?

2 days after meeting with the little boy, I read in the newspaper that the young woman had passed away. I could not stop myself and go buy a bunch of white roses and then go to the funeral home where the bodies of the young woman was. She was there, in her coffin, holding a beautiful white rose with a doll and a boy photograph over her chest. I left the place crying, feeling that my life has changed forever. That boy’s love to the mother and sister, is difficult to imagine.

For the 69th time, Golden Globe already be held at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, California. The event was hosted by Ricky Gervais for the third time. This Golden Globe have a lot of surprise. One of them are the winning of silent movie, The Artist. Mass Transit Railway (MTR) is name of rapid transit railway system in Hongkong. Because i just Travel in Hongkong, today i will share about Hongkong MTR Map. Hongkong MTR is the backbone of the railway system in Hongkong. You can access a lot of place including Hongkong Disneyland, Ferry Terminal, Airport and even Shenzhen (China) by just using this MTR. Compared to MRT in another country, Hongkong MTR offering more efficiency. For me, Hongkong MTR is the most efficient MRT i ever ride. I frequently doesn’t need to walk when switching line. That what i like from Hongkong MTR. This MTR system is currently operated by MTR Corporation Limited (MTRCL).

Today is the sixth day. Tomorrow I had to go home to Indonesia. Today is the last day of my trip around Shenzhen, Hongkong and Macau. Today we left Hongkong to Macau. Because a little bit tired, we woke up late today. It was about 10 o’clock when we came out from the hostel for breakfast. After breakfast, we all checkout from the hostel and then headed to the Ferry Terminal.

Ferry from Hongkong to Macau

In Hong Kong there are two ferry terminal usually used to reach Macau. The first one is Hongkong China Ferry Terminal at Tsim Sha Tsui. If your hotel in Kowloon area, you can go to this terminal. The ferry company operated here is FirstFerry. Beside Ferry Terminal at Tsim Sha Tsui, there also one terminal in Hongkong Island called Hongkong Macau Ferry Terminal. This terminal located at Sheung Wan. If your hotel is in Central, Northpoint, Admiralty, Wanchai on Hong Kong Island, just go to Sheung Wan Ferry Terminal. The ferry company here is Turbojet.

I personally prefer Sheung Wan Ferry Terminal because it directly connected to the MTR station. Just go by MTR and get off at Sheung Wan on light blue line (Island Line). When you exit the MTR, just go three floor above and you will arrive at Ferry Ticket Office. If you go via Tsim Sha Tsui Fe you’ll need to walk a little bit from Tsim Sha Tsui MTR station.

Exactly at 12 o’clock we arrived at Sheung Wan ferry ticket counter. We immediately bought tickets without having to queue. We bought tickets for 12:15 departure. Hongkong-Macau ferry ticket prices is HK$ 151. Actually we want to buy tickets for 12:30 departure, but my friend bought on the wrong counter. Eventually we had to rush to get in the departure gate. Because we still have to pass through immigration and luggage inspection (my suitcase that weighs 20kg finally being charged HK$ 20 because of the overweight). In the end we were not able to enter the 12:15 departure ferry. Fortunately the ferry system here does not like planes. We can join the next departure 12:30 using our 12:15 tickets. Hong Kong-Macau Ferry is similar to Batam-Singapore Ferry. After take approximately 50 minutes long we finally arrived at the Macau Ferry Terminal.

Go to Hotel by Shuttle Bus

After passed through immigration without a lot of questions, just exit the terminal. Then look for a counter that became the center of the representatives of all hotels in Macau. Just ask where the shuttle bus that owned by the hotel where we stayed. Next we will be delivered to our hotel for free.

From Macau Ferry Terminal to Hotel just need 10 minutes. Finally we arrived at our hotel (Sintra Hotel). My hotel is not too far from Grand Lisboa Hotel, one of the most luxurious hotel in Macau. Compared to our accomodation in Hongkong, the hotel in Macau far more better. But this is understandable, because the hotel rates in Macau are not cheap. Below are the architecture of our room in Sintra Hotel.

After arrived at hotel, we take a rest for a hour. After that we go to the our first place, Senado Square.

Senado Square

The distance between our hotel to the Senado Square was not too far away. Only about 10 minutes walking. Senado Square is kind of field that is Portuguese style designed, with the paint color of the building façade, classical Spanish model and stone floors that beautifully arranged. This place is where Macau residents gathered throughout the day because the place is bright and romantic.

St. Paul Ruins

From Senado Square, we continue our trip to St. Paul Ruin. Just follow the sign board and follow the crowd by walking up the path uphill. There are a lot of shop selling Macau traditional foods like Portuguese eggtart, souvernir, and snacks. At the end of the road, we’ll see ruins of the church above. This building was formerly a church, but right now its only front wall of the building remain. At the rear there is an additional building displaying the bones of Excavation and a Museum below.

From here we go back to the hotel again and take a rest again. It’s about 7 o’clock at night we continue our trip to Macau Tower.

Macau Tower

To go to the Macau Tower, we use the existing public bus that stopped at the road across our hotel. Macau Tower (Macau Tower Convention & Entertainment Centre) measures 338 m in height from ground level to the highest point. It offers the best view of Macau and in recent years has been used for a variety of adventurous activities. At 233 meters, the Macau Tower’s tethered Bungee jump by AJ Hackett from the tower’s outer rim, is the second highest commercial skyjump in the world, after Vegas’ Stratosphere skyjump.

After take a photo and sit for a while here, we continue our trip to City of Dream in Taiba Macau. That time we used Hard Rock Hotel shuttle bus to go to City of Dream (It’s free).

Tips : How to go to Venetian Hotel with free? The easiest way for you is to ride the shuttle hotel where you stay and to Ferry Terminal. From Ferry terminal just take Venetian Hotel shuttle bus. Do not be afraid even though we are not a hotel guest, we can ride the shuttle bus for free.

City Of Dreams

After satisfied stroll at City of Dreams, we cross into Venetian Hotel & Resort . Venetian Hotel & Resort is one of the largest hotel complex in the world, with the number of rooms in the thousands that only can be rivaled by Genting Hotel & Resort in Malaysia. Built based the design of the city of Venice in Italy, there is a tower, canals and gondolas, and hundreds of stores that sell items inside.

Venetian Casino is currently the largest casino in the world, beating Las Vegas. With a gaming table that reaches hundreds, the slot machine is also very much, we could even get lost in this hall. If you want to try to play here, clothes must be neat and formal, at least wear long pants and shoes. Need at least 2-3 hours to explore this place

Do not forget to go to area called St. Mark’s Square. In the hotel lobby we were greeted by a statue of a lion that is characteristic of St. Mark Square in Venice. The ceiling of the hotel is decorated with wonderful ornaments (for the size of a hotel in Asia). The names of places are also named as in Venice. We can ride the gondola from anywhere. At a cost of about MOP 100, we can ride the gondola for about 20 minutes down the artificial canal. The gondola, piloted by gondoliers dressed in black and white workers deliberately recruited from the western world, not local residents, to provide an atmosphere as closely as possible with a gondola in Venice.

It’s about 11 o’clock when we go back to our hotel. From Venetian, we use the bus to Ferry Terminal (it’s free). From Ferry Terminal, we once again use the shuttle bus to go back to our hotel.

Unconsiously its already the 5th day of my trip arround Shenzhen, Hongkong and Macau. After pleased have fun at Disneyland Hongkong yesterday, today i go to another themed park called Ocean Park. Ocean Park is the combination of oceanarium, animal theme park and amusement park. Ocean Park is original Hongkong’s themed park. The park has won several awards, including The World’s Seventh Most Popular Amusement Park and 33rd Most Visited Tourist Attractions in the World by Forbes.

Transportation to Ocean Park

To get to Ocean Park, there are special bus routes to the Ocean Park number 629 (HK$ 10.60) at Admiralty Bus Terminal. This station is right beside the MTR station. Just get out of the Admiralty MTR station and takes exit B. Take this bus to Ocean Park. It’s need about 20 minutes to arrive.

Ocean Park admission ticket can be purchased online. I myself bought the Ocean Park admission tickets online through Taobao.com because it is much cheaper.

Adult (aged 12 or above) : HK$280

Under 3, Over 65 (with HKID), Holder of Registration Card for people with Disabilities and Hong Kong residents (with HKID) visiting on birthday are FREE to enter Ocean Park.

Have Fun at Ocean Park

Just like Disneyland, when you entering the entrance gate, your bags will be checked by officers. Not like in Disneyland, this time my foods such as bread and snacks are not allowed to enter. Because the way of examination are not too tight, I then tried to find a way to get pass through the examination. I finally put the foods on the bottom of the jacket in the bag. The result, i successfully pass through the examination.

The park is separated by a large mountain into two areas, The Summit (Headland) and The Waterfront (Lowland) respectively. The Waterfront is an area where you are when entering the park for the first time. In The Waterfront you can find animals and some attractions for kids. In the center area of The Waterfront there also a lake where the musical show at nights. While the other area The Summit (Headland) is the area behind the mountain. To move between these areas you must use Cable Car, or can also use Ocean Express train through the mountains (a train that we feel like in a submarine inside). Personally, after enter the entrace gate i directly go to The Summit first. After try all attractions at The Summit until 6 o’clock, i finally spent my remaining time at The Waterfront at night.

Tips  : Take the cable car first on your departure to The Summit and return by Ocean Express train to The Waterfront. Because at afternoon the cable car queue is very long.

Under normal circumstances, you would have enough time to enjoy all the rides or attractions in this park. What I imagine when entering the park is very different from reality. The World’s Seventh Most Popular Amusement Park becomes a big question for me. Today the park is very quiet. There are very few people come here. The situation is certainly very contrast when compared to when I were at Disneyland yesterday. Even when i ride the most popular roller coaster (The Dragon), I do not need to queue at all. However i heard that this park is very crowded at Sunday and Holiday Season.
Today I tried almost all of attractions in this park. Below are the the most favorite attractions you don’t miss :

The Waterfront (Lowland)

• Giant Aquarium (Aqua City)
  Seaworld version of Ocean Park. This aquarium is Southeast Asia’s largest and newest aquarium, a massive 3-storey attraction that will house 5,000 fish from 400 species.

  

• Skyfair (Aqua City)

  

• Giant Panda Adventure (Amazing Asian Animals)
  An purpose-built habitat that houses rare giant pandas. Inside there are 2 pieces of pandas from China were napping or eating bamboo.

  

• Goldfish Treasures (Amazing Asian Animals)
  A goldfish pavilion featuring the latest and rarest varieties like the Black Oranda and Blue Phoenix Eggfish. Educates visitors on the history and importance of the goldfish in Chinese culture.

  

The Summit (Headland)

• The Flash (Thrill Mountain)
  A ride that spins you up to 22 metres into to air, rotated 360 degrees by robot arm. It is recommended for those who love a challenge.

  

• Hair Raiser (Thrill Mountain)
  A massive floor-less roller coaster that brings you up to a stunning 4G, it includes many 360 degrees loops, half loops and corkscrews.

  

• The Rapids (Rainforest)
  An exciting rafing game in Rainforest area. Be prepared for wet because there are some water shots from above.

  

• Sea Jelly Spectacular (Marine World)
  Showcases an underwater ‘garden’ of over 1,000 sea jellies from around the globe, set to the latest lighting, music and multimedia special effects.

  

• The Abyss Turbo Drop (Marine World)
  Raises passengers up 62 metres in 20-25 seconds before thrusting them downward at speeds of up to 65 km/h, even faster than freefalling. The sensation can only be felt in the stomach.

  

• The Dragon (Marine World)
  Hong Kong’s largest roller coaster with a maximum speed of 77 km/h. Twists 360° through two giant loops over 842 metres of track

  

• Ocean Theatre (Marine World)
  A performances of dolphins and seals in a pool

  

• Ocean Park Tower (Adventure Land)
  One of the tallest observation towers in Southeast Asia. Rises 200 metres above sea level with a rotating observation deck at the top offering 360° views of the South China Sea.

  

• Mine Train (Adventure Land)
  A steel “mine train” roller coaster perched on the edge of a cliff overlooking Aberdeen Harbour. Boasts 678 metres of track and stands 85 metres tall at its highest point.

  

• Raging River (Adventure Land)
  A refreshing water ride that takes passengers through tropical waterfalls, narrow ravines and finishes by shooting them down a slide at almost 60 km/h.

  

Do not forget, before the closing theme park around 7 pm there is a water fountain show at Whisker’s Harbour.

Today i specifically spent all day in Hong Kong Disneyland. Since Hong Kong Disneyland open at 11 noon, we departed from Hostel around 10 o’clock. The way to Disneyland itself is quite easy to understand. You can just ride MTR Orange line (Tung Chung line) up to Sunny Bay station (Click the link if you want to see Hongkong MTR Map). The journey from Hong Kong Island MTR takes about 45 minutes because we have to change Blue line to Orange line at Central. Arriving at Sunny Bay we have to change to Disneyland special train. The train will be very easily recognized because from window to interior seats and handrails all shaped Disney’s Mickey’s head.

Arrive at the Disneyland Resort stations, we just follow the crowds go toward the gate of Disneyland. If you have not buy the ticket before, you must buy the ticket at ticket office.

The prices of the 1-Day Ticket are :

• HK$399 for General Admission Ticket (aged 12–64),
• HK$285 for a Child Ticket (aged 3–11)
• Senior 1-Day Ticket price will be cut by 41% from HK$170 to HK$100.

Ticket does not apply if you come in holiday season. For example when i come today, there is only couple days remaining ahead to Lunar New Year. If you come to this park next week, Disneyland admission ticket prices will be more expensive. So my advice, you should visit Disneyland on ordinary day.

To pass the entrance gate, the officer will ask you to show what inside your bag. To my knowledge this examination objective is to find food and drinks. For the sake of cleanliness in the Disneyland visitors are not allowed to bring food (cakes, noodles, et al). However, oddly enough, although I carry a lot of bread, boxes of food and beverages, the officer still allow me to enter.

Overall Disneyland is built more targeted children as their main visitor. Compared to Universal Studios, Disneyland is more suitable for children and adolescents. You will not find too extreme rides here. But in my opinion the performances and the design of each area is very cool.

The park and rides are divided into 5 areas, Main Street USA, Adventure Land, Toy Story Land, Fantasy Land and Tomorrow Land. If it is not too crowded, after enter the entrace gate you should not miss the opportunity to take pictures with Disney characters Mickey Minie, Stich, Donald Duck, Guffy or maybe Winnie the Pooh.

In theory, it is impossible to explore and enjoy all the rides in one day. There rides must be passed or skipped. So you should first determine what attractions you want to play.

Take brochures Times Guide to check the hours of each show. Take a brochure Guide Map to determine where the first part of the park to visit.

From the entrance you will pass through Main Street USA before arrive at Sleeping Beauty Castle (Disney logo that usually appear at the opening of all the Disney movies).

From Sleeping Beauty Castle you can determine whether to pass through Adventure Island (left side) or Tomorrow Land (right side).

Below i’ll make a list of attractive rides at Disneyland.

Adventure Island

• “Festival of the Lion King” (Colorful pageant of music and dance inspired by Lion King Movie). In this show, each characters in Lion King movie is represented by real person and each story displayed in the form of music and dance.

  

• “Jungle River Cruise” (Ride a boat around Adventure Island).

  

• “Tarzan Treehouse” (Climb to treetop home of Tarzan. There is musical instrument inside)

  

Toy Story Land

• “Toy Soldier Parachute Drop” (drop ride from the height like a soldier who parachuted from the plane)

  

• “RC Racer” (similar to Galeon boat ride with steeper slope).

  

Fantasy Island

In this area you will see more perfomance than play a ride.

• “Mickey’s Philhar Magic” (4D movie about the adventures of Donald Duck who got lost in the various Disney world).

• “The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh” (a kind of storytelling where you ride the train into the world of Winnie the Pooh).

  

• “The Golden Mickeys” (a musical performance that combined with dance and light effects are cool).

  

Tomorrow Island

• “Space Mountain” (a kind of indoor roller coaster with space themed)
  This is a mandatory attraction you must ride at Disneyland. I think this is the most thrilling rides at Hong Kong Disneyland.

  

• “Stich Encounter” (watch a movie about the questions and answers between the visitors and Stich from the film). This game is very unique, because every show is never be same. The movie will react as the audience response.

  

• “Buzz Light year Astro Blaster” (shooting game using a cart). You can compare your score with the highest score ever there.

  

Tips to get cheap souvernir : With only HK$ 10 coin, we can get a plate with Disney theme. Open a map of Disney and find the coin press machine (there are several machines with different pictures). Throw a special coin, then turn the steering wheel to drive the machine. Soon coins that have been printed image will be flattened out.

Flights of Fantasy Parade

And every afternoon at 4 o’clock there are always Parade through the main road inside the park. The parade celebrates the dreams of Disney characters and includes Disney characters such as Mickey and friends, Dumbo, Winnie the Pooh and friends, Snow White, Cinderella, Simba, Tinkerbell, Stitch, Woody, Buzz Lightyear, etc. The parade includes seven floats which include Mickey’s Magical Airship, Caught Up in Daydreams, Romance Takes Wing, Junpin’ Jungle Jam, The Magic of Pixie Dust, Hangin’ Ten and Ridin’ High, and To infinity and Beyond.

“Disney in the Stars” Fireworks

At the night (regular hours of 8pm) there is Disneyland-style firework in front of the Sleeping Beauty Castle, so do not miss the show because this is an eagerly awaited event by all visitors.

Tips: 30 minutes before the event you should find the best spot to watch the fireworks. Prepare enough batteries to tripods so can shoot and take a sharp image from the camera.

The end of the fireworks means the park is closed. No more rides you can play that time. But for those who are still not satisfied can still go into souvernir stores to buy souvenirs.

Because everybody go home at the same hour, you may have to queue to go up into the MTR train again. But once up to Sunny Bay, Disneyland visitors will mix with the locals on the train but it should not be too crowded because we are in the flow entering the city.

After satisfied visiting Shenzhen yesterday, today we start walk around Hong Kong. Today i also had to move hostels from Tsim Sha Tsui to Hong Kong Island. Compared to Kowloon area, Hong Kong Island is slightly different. Kowloon area somewhat a little bit chaotic because there are too many people live there. Hong Kong Island look more modern and tidy with the buildings architecture. Having been promised to meet my friends at the hostel at 10 o’clock, i spend my morning time by stroll around Tsim Sha Tsui area. Because Avenue of The Star is very close to Tsim Sha Tsui, I was walk to go there.

The Avenue of Stars (Hongkong Walk of Fame)

The Avenue of Stars itself is a place beside the river that built based on America’s Hollywood Walk of Fame. This place is located in Victoria Harbour Waterfront in the area of ​​Tsim Sha Tsui. This place gives awards to celebrities who have contributed to Hong Kong’s film industry. Less than 5 minutes walk from the hostel, i already arrived at Avenue of Star. This place is right behind SOGO Building. In the morning, this place was visited by not too many visitors. Night will be more visitors coming to this place. Since this spot is one of the best spot to see the laser show Symphony of The Light that always show every 8 o’clock night local time.

After sightsee and take pictures for a while, I returned to the hostel and check out. Next I went to the hostel where I plan to stay with friends for the next three days in Fortress Hill area, Hong Kong Island .

Move from Tsim Sha Tsui hostel to Fortress Hill hostel

From Tsim Sha Tsui to the Fortress Hill, i use MTR to move hostel. I use red line (Tsuen Wan Line ) and then moved to the blue line (Island Line) (Click the link if you want to see Hongkong MTR Map). Bring large suitcase in MTR was not as difficult as i imagined. Switching between line at MTR Hong Kong is very convenient. We do not have to walk too far to switch line in MRT. We finally arrived at Yesinn, the name of the inn we will stayed around 11 o’clock at noon. Because my friends have not arrived and we are only able to check in after 2 o’clock, then inevitably I had to wait there. Fortunately there is a lounge room that can be used to surf the internet while waiting in there. It’s turns out my friends from Shenzhen a little bit late, so i end up having to wait for 3 hours in there.

I finally can check in and enter the room at about 1:45 PM. After a short rest, we continue with our trip to the Victoria Peak

Go to Peak Tram station(Garden Road Peak Tram Lower Terminus)

To get to Victoria Peak, we had to go to the Peak Tram station in Central area. Actually there are a variety of ways to go to the Peak Tram station from our hotel. But in the end we prefer to use MTR to save time. We take the blue line ( Island Line ) and get off at Central Exit station J2 .

Beside using MTR, you can also use:

• Tram
  Tram is one of the oldest transportation in Hongkong. The Ticket price only HK$ 2 no matter the distance rises. Tram is the most affordable transportation for sightseeing and Hongkong Island area, we can go to Central, Northpoint, Admiralty, even Victoria Park.
  From Fortress Hill to Peak Tram station: Take the Tram from Fortress Hill, down at Murray Street station

• Bus
  Among the four means of transport available to the Peak Tram Station, use the bus was the one who can reach the nearest point to Peak Tram station.
  From Fortress Hill toward the Peak Tram Station: Take bus No. 56 from Tin Chong Street, get off at Hong Kong Park

From Central MTR station Exit Gate, you have to walk about 10 minutes to Garden Road Peak Tram Lower Terminus. Just follow the board sign on the road and follow the road uphill until you find the Peak Tram station.

Arriving at the Peak Tram station, we have to buy tickets to use Peak Tram. Since we’ve bought tickets in advance, then we immediately entered to line in the queue for the ride to Victoria Peak.

Peak Tram is a special tram lane road at up to 50 degrees uphill slope. Tram lane has been used since 1888 and is still in good condition.

For reference, here tickets are divided into three packages, namely:

• Tiket PP Peak Tram : HK$ 33 / person
• Paket Combo Tram + Museum : HK$ 170 / person
• Paket Combo Tram + Sky Terrace + Museum : HK$ 200 / person

Note: Sky Terrace is the sort of building on the highest point of The Peak where we can see the sights of Hong Kong from above covering an area of ​​360 degree.

Go to Victoria Peak using Peak Tram

Travel by this tram is quite thrilling, with a strong engine power uphill carrying dozens of passengers the speeds can reach to 40 km/hour. The trip takes about 10 minutes to reach Victoria Peak.

Stations in this cliff has been transformed into ‘official site’ to see Hong Kong from the top. This place is shaped like a saucer, there are dozens of shops selling souvenirs and restaurants as well. Arriving at upper station, we entered the Madame Tussauds wax museum first.

Take pictures with the stars at Madame Tussauds

Madame Tussauds wax museum is also located inside the cup-shaped building. In this museum you can take pictures with hundreds of world leaders, celebrities, singer, and athletes. Collection of wax statues like Jay Chou, Andy Lau, Lesley Cheung, until the Twins and Cecillia Cheung is the exclusive display here. Other world figures and celebrities on display practically the same as shown in Madame Tussauds London.

After take a photograph in Madame Tussauds for almost one hour, then we go to upper side of the building to sky terrace. From there we can see Hongkong scenery from above. The view from this high place is very beautiful, especially in the night. Bright fluorescent lights of several tall building makes Hong Kong deserves the nickname of “Pearl of East and jewel of The Orient“.

We then wait until 8 o’clock to watch Symphony of The Light from above (Sky Terrace). Unfortunately there are a lot of fog that covered the view. So i can’t see the laser clearly. After watch the laser, we then go back to the city. After discussed with my friends, we then decide to go to Ladies Market at Kowloon area.

Shopping Time at Ladies Market

From Peak Tram station, we back to Central MTR station to go to Ladies Market. We get off at Mong Kok Station, take the Exit D3, turn back, turn right, then we arrived at Tung Choi Street where there are a lot of street vendors lined the road better known as the Ladies Market. At Ladies Market you can find a variety of products like clothes, cosmetics, toys, home appliances, watches and DVDs.

After have a dinner and shopping for a while, we then go back to the hostel. When we go back to hostel, it’s already 11:30 pm. A really long trip for today…
