Sometimes we were not always satisfied with the existing situation. Currently, there are a lot of teenagers are not happy with their life. Although they are have all what they want, but they always feel there is something lack in their lives. This is one of three poisons of the human heart. That is greedy. Not appreciate what we owned, but we always want what does not belong. Today I will share a story about a story on Christmas Day. The last day before Christmas, I rush to the supermarket to buy gifts for chrismast. Actually i don’t have a plan to buy gifts. When looking at the crowd, I began to complain: “It’s going to take forever, and I still have many places to go.” Christmas really annoying every years. I wish I could lie down and sleep and only wake up after. Many people today do not believe the law of cause and effect. In Buddhism this familiar with the name of Karma, in Christianity known as sowing and reaping. Basically every human actions will cause and effect. Whether it resulted directly or indirectly. Because of distrust of modern humans at this, causing so many people today are not afraid to do something bad. This is what caused the world becomes increasingly chaotic lately. Star light is bright. But, the light from star not as bright as love from a mother. Her love never end for a lifetime to her children. Today i want to share you, a wonderful story about how great the love of a mother. This is a story from a girl in my country. In modern world, devotion to parents seems start to fade. Modern people always place intelligence as the most important thing. Sometimes they look down the people with low education, including their parents. Hope this story can aware us that love from a parents is remarkable, so we may not forget all kindness from our parents.

My mother is a cafetaria keeper at one of junior high school in Bekasi, Jawa Barat. She also make uduk rice (name of indonesian food) and cake to be placed in several cafetaria and stall arround the city. Everyday, she has to wake up every 3:30 in the morning and come home at 23:00. That the life she must face everyday and she never complaint about her life.

My father income doesn’t too much so my mother have to work too. Since primary school until senior high school, i and my brother always got pocket money from that. That became my admiration to my mother. Her wrinkled face show that she always work hard everyday. Her hand full with a muscle.

George Whitefieled: “I’ve never felt better than when I do my best to God.”

The quote above remind us to always remember our identity as human beings. Do what the best for God, which is do kindness to all people in the world unconditionally. Don’t use our weakness to not doing good to other people. There is an interesting story taken from the book Chicken Soup for the Golden Soul and based on a true story which quoted from an article in Arizona newspaper in 1985, about a call for action to save others.

Bob Butler lost both his legs because of mine explosion during the Vietnam war in 1965. He returned as a war hero. Twenty years later, he proved that heroism comes from the heart.

One day in summer, Butler was working in the garage in a small town in Arizona. At that moment he heard a woman screaming hysterically from the back of his neighbor’s house. He pedaled his wheelchair into the house and headed to the backyard. But there is a locked fence that does not allow the wheelchair to pass. The veteran then got out of the chair, jump over the fence with both hands and crawled through the bushes and grass as soon as possible.

“I shall soon get there,” he said. “No matter whether it will be painful and hurt my body.”

Recently at Atlantic City, U.S., there was a woman who won a basket of coins from a slot machine. Then she intended to have dinner with her husband. However, before she drop the basket of the coin in her room, she headed to the elevator.
When she entered the elevator, there were two black people in it. One of them is very big. . . Verryyyy Bigg. The woman froze. She thought, “These two are going to rob me.” Her next thought was, “Do not accuse, they seemed nice and friendly.” Read more…

Two days ago, i hear a lectures about how our relationship with our parents should be. Sometimes we forget how much our parent love us in this life. We usually care about our girlfriend / wife, but forget about our parents. Hope this story can give some insight view of how we behave to our parents. A man stopped on flower shop to buy a bouquet of flower that will be sent to his mother who lived 250 km from him. After going out from his car, he saw a small girl standing on the road while walking burst into tears. The man asked why the little girl was crying and the little girl said, “I want to buy a spray of red roses to my mother. But I just have some five hundred rupiah, while the price of the rose is a thousand rupiah.”

In life, we frequently complain about anything arround us. Sometimes we do not appreciate what we already have. If you ever watch a movie title Click by Adam Sandler, you’ll know what i mean. Sometimes we do not pay attention to what we already have. Sometimes we are less grateful with what exists arround us. But when all of them already gone, we feel lost and feel that what we had before were tremendous gift that we were not aware of. That’s too late.
