Yesterday i just watched a film titled Top Secret : Wai Roon Pun Lan (Thai : Top Secret วัยรุ่นพันล้าน) or The Billionaire. This is a 2011 Thai drama movie that based on a true story of Top Ittipat, CEO of Taokaenoi Food & Marketing Co., LTD, the company that produced Tao Kae Noi, delicious seaweed snack that can be founded in a lot of supermarket in Asia-Pasific area. Tae Kae Noi itself means Young Entrepreneur. I personally also like to eat Tao Kae Noi. It’s very delicious and make me addicted to eat it. So it very interesting to watch the story behind a man who create this product. Top Ittipat story is one of obvious example where optimistic, trusting, and persevering is one the key to be success. The movie teach us to never surrender. You can be weak, but never surrender in order to keep the game going. This movie could become a great source of inspiration for the new entrepreneurs.

In this modern world, a lot of people always judge a person from their material background. I myself have experienced it couple of times. People always despise the people who don’t have excess material, and contrarily they will admire rich people. They tend to make friends with people on the same level or above them. Poor people are often treated not politely and not respectfully. I personally strongly disagree with this. Why? Because people’s fate will not always be the same forever. People who are wealthy now can become poor some day, while poor people can also become rich some day. There are no certain things in this world. Anything can happen. Therefore I do not like people who only look at people just from material. To learn something about this, I have one short story that might open our eyes so we do not always see things from the material. Every people in this world is important. Wherever we must treat everyone with courtesy, dignity, and with respect.

There is a saying that a mother’s love has no limits. This is true. Sometimes we forget the meaning of maternal love. Due to the demands of modern life that is full of competition, sometimes we often underestimate the people who have low status or education. We also sometimes feel impatient to see there are people who can’t work as quickly as we do. And sometime we even don’t realize, we do the same thing to our own family, including our own mother. Star light is bright. But, the light from star not as bright as love from a mother. Her love never end for a lifetime to her children. Today i want to share you, a wonderful story about how great the love of a mother. This is a story from a girl in my country. In modern world, devotion to parents seems start to fade. Modern people always place intelligence as the most important thing. Sometimes they look down the people with low education, including their parents. Hope this story can aware us that love from a parents is remarkable, so we may not forget all kindness from our parents.

My mother is a cafetaria keeper at one of junior high school in Bekasi, Jawa Barat. She also make uduk rice (name of indonesian food) and cake to be placed in several cafetaria and stall arround the city. Everyday, she has to wake up every 3:30 in the morning and come home at 23:00. That the life she must face everyday and she never complaint about her life.

My father income doesn’t too much so my mother have to work too. Since primary school until senior high school, i and my brother always got pocket money from that. That became my admiration to my mother. Her wrinkled face show that she always work hard everyday. Her hand full with a muscle.

There is an interesting story taken from the book Chicken Soup for the Golden Soul and based on a true story which quoted from an article in Arizona newspaper in 1985, about a call for action to save others.

Bob Butler lost both his legs because of mine explosion during the Vietnam war in 1965. He returned as a war hero. Twenty years later, he proved that heroism comes from the heart.

One day in summer, Butler was working in the garage in a small town in Arizona. At that moment he heard a woman screaming hysterically from the back of his neighbor’s house. He pedaled his wheelchair into the house and headed to the backyard. But there is a locked fence that does not allow the wheelchair to pass. The veteran then got out of the chair, jump over the fence with both hands and crawled through the bushes and grass as soon as possible.

“I shall soon get there,” he said. “No matter whether it will be painful and hurt my body.”
