Yesterday i just watched a film titled Top Secret : Wai Roon Pun Lan (Thai : Top Secret วัยรุ่นพันล้าน) or The Billionaire. This is a 2011 Thai drama movie that based on a true story of Top Ittipat, CEO of Taokaenoi Food & Marketing Co., LTD, the company that produced Tao Kae Noi, delicious seaweed snack that can be founded in a lot of supermarket in Asia-Pasific area. Tae Kae Noi itself means Young Entrepreneur. I personally also like to eat Tao Kae Noi. It’s very delicious and make me addicted to eat it. So it very interesting to watch the story behind a man who create this product. Top Ittipat story is one of obvious example where optimistic, trusting, and persevering is one the key to be success. The movie teach us to never surrender. You can be weak, but never surrender in order to keep the game going. This movie could become a great source of inspiration for the new entrepreneurs.

Who is Top Ittipat?

His full name is Aitthipat Kulapongvanich. Top Ittipat is one of the youngest Billionaire in the world. He is the CEO of Taokaenoi Food & Marketing Co., LTD, the company that dominate 70% of seaweed market share in Thailand.

When he was still 16 years old, he was an online game addict. Even though, he gained success at playing online games and winning tournament prizes. He able to generated 400 thousand baht from online game. Because of his hobby playing online game, he often been underestimated by his teachers at school. He finally decide dropped out from school to become chestnut peddler when he was 17 years old. He invested his money into selling fried chestnuts, which became popular in Thailand.

One year after that, his family went bankrupt and his father had debt 40 million baht. That time, all of his family decided to go to Shanghai, China. Top Ittipat refuse to came along with his family and continue to continue his business in Thailand. Struggle with several difficulty, Top never give up and keep trying to reach success. His roasted chestnut business that located in shopping mall success to bring 3 million baht income per month. But Tesco management finally prohibited his roasting machine because the smoke carried the smell over the mall and dirtied mall’s ceiling. Because no roasting activity, the sales dropped.

When he was 19 years old, he created new product which are dried fruit and seaweed snacks called “Tae Kae Noi”. After a few months, the seaweed became best selling product of the booth and it took over Chestnut sales.

A few months later, Top found an idea to make his business growing faster. He applied his products to 7-Eleven. Now, Tao Kae Noi is sold in more than 3,000 7-Eleven branch in Thailand. 2 years after his products entered 7 Eleven, Top could pay his father debt. Top Ittipat is 27 years old this year. He is the owner of company that produce best selling seaweed that can generate more than 1 billion baht per year. His company employee reached 2,500 employees.

Now, Tao Kae Noi products was exported to 27 countries around the world, including Japan, Taiwan, Singapore, United States. Top even had his own seaweed plantations at South Korea.

About Top Secret : Wai Roon Pun Lan movie

I actually know this movie from the forum i frequently visit. There are many people who recommend this movie.However, I am a little surprised with the least reference about this movie on the internet. I can not even find it on Wikipedia. Even on IMDB, this film has very minimal information. There is no cover images and screenshots. Until i wrote this article, number of user reviews of this film was only 25 users (including me). In my opinion, this movie had a very good value. The film is very motivating and inspiring. So with no hesitation, I put this film into one of my favorite motivation movie list.
While googling, i found some facts related to this film on Cinema Online website. Cinema Online did the interview with Top Ittipat himself. Ittipat said that the character in the movie Top Secret: Roon Pun Wai Lan is a little different with him. The character is stronger because the director want to strengthen Ittipat character in the film. But the story of the film is still 80% in accordance with the original story. Ittipat said to be succeed, we needed unyielding spirit. There is one of his words in the end of the film that i never forget.

Do not give up whatever happens, if we give up then its nothing

It starts getting very cold here in Tianjin. Today the temperature reach 5°C. That’s why i so rarely go out from my dormitory. Actually today (Wednesday) is the day i usually used to learn mandarin with my chinese friend. But i did not contact her today. So i spent my time by watching a movie after the class. Today i saw a new movie titled Arthur. This is a comedy drama movie tell a story about the story of a billionaire man called Arthur Bach. Because he has always pampered and has never experienced even slightest trouble, then he became a wealthy man who really can not do anything. Everything change until he meet a tour guide called Naomi and he fall in love to her.

Although the film is not exactly very good but there are some very good meaning and moral lesson inside the movie. As we know together, today’s a lot of people who are accustomed to living well because they parent provide everything. In my country, many of my friends who since childhood has been used in an environment that completely fulfilled. Because their family is wealthy family, so they can get everything they want, just mention for example they can get new gadget like iPad or Playstation 3 so easily. They also can traveling to another country since they still child. They also can eat expensive food in the cafe or restaurant. Environment like this is sometimes makes people forget. It would be nice if we can be grateful for all that we have. But we will not have our wealthy life forever. There was also a time when we face the difficulties in life. Sometimes peoples who are already accustomed living well, will complain when faced with little difficulty. Many people like them can not do anything. Although not as bad as Arthur Bach in Arthur movie, but a lot of little things they can not do. For examples of such are some of my friends. A lot of them can’t sweep the floor, can’t clean their own room, and can’t cook fried eggs. Some of them even worst. Don’t say egg, even instant noodle they can not make by themself. This can happen because they always be pampered by their parent since they was child.

In fact, all the capabilities we have actually we got the most when we are suffering or in trouble. Many times we can learn a lot just from unpleasant experiences. Look at the great figures and the success that we’ve read the story. Everything is there who have never experienced difficult circumstances. So if you face a problem or difficulty, do not rush to blame God. But we should be grateful, because God was trying to train us so that we become a stronger person.

Hearing the news of Steve Jobs death was so shocking to me. He died on October 5, 2011 at the age of 56 because of his pancreatic cancer. I am one of Apple products lover. I use MacBook as my primary computer since 4 years ago. I know that some of the Apple’s spectacular creations was came from Steve Jobs masterpiece. Therefore, I quite admire him. So, to commemorate Steve Jobs and introduced to the world how great of a Steve Jobs, I want to write a short biography of Steve Jobs in 7 phases which we can learn from the life of Steve Jobs during his life, 56 years.

Although a bit long, I think this article is very short to tell a great story on Steve Jobs himself. The story that changed the world and inspire the world of technology.

Steve was born with the name of Steve Paul Jobs. Born on February 25, 1955 in San Francisco, United States, Jobs get his name from the adopted parents Paul and Clara Jobs. It was unclear why Jobs was adopted by these two men.

Steve Jobs’s biological father has a brilliant brain. The father, Abdulfattah John Jandali is a professor of political science. While his mother, Joanne Simpson is a speech therapist.

Began to build Apple Company

Jobs started work in 1974 on the Atari as professional technician. Atari is a company that designed the circuit board. In 1976, Jobs founded the company with his partner Steve Wozniak, the company now well-known as the biten white apple logo, Apple. With a vision to change the world, Jobs started his career.

After removing the first computer called the Macintosh, Steve Jobs was fired by Apple CEO John Sculley. Internal tensions cause rift working relationship that also affected for declining corporate performance after that. Jobs also regarded as a bad-tempered, easily change his mind and stubborn.

From this point, it seems clear that Jobs was at the lowest point in his life, abandoned by his partner and must get out of the company he founded.

Establish NeXT Computer

It’s not Steve Jobs if he give up because of that. Jobs then establish a new company called NeXT Computer. The product produced by NeXT Computer is considered failed and costly. Until these times, Steve Jobs suffer was not over yet. Even failed, this experience make Steve’s career better in the future.

Achieve success at Pixar

Steve Jobs acquired a small animation film studio Pixar in 1986. Pixar started to move successfully in the following year. Jobs achieved his success after the release of Toy Story in 1995. From this, we can learn that Jobs always make his own success path. Without looming by the shadow of his past, Jobs can start his own success story in different field (not computer industry, but film animation).

NeXT Acquisition by Apple

At the end of 1996, Jobs was trying to make Apple acquire NeXT Computer. With pretext that NeXT operating system was required by Apple, Jobs finally sold NeXT Computer to Apple for USD 429 Million. At this point, we can see that Jobs was once again once again achieve his success like what he did in Toy Story. Jobs also managed to transform the company into something worth that previously not profitable for him.

Steve Jobs returned to Apple

Because of his talents, Jobs finally returned to Apple eventually and served as CEO. From 1997, Jobs released a phenomenal products like  iPod, iMac, iPhone, iPad and iCloud that make Apple achieve great success, even in the stock market. Jobs achieve his success because of hard work, unyielding spirit and his desire to create products that change the world, according to Apple’s vision when he founded the first time.

Be diagnosed with pancreatic cancer

Jobs must haunted his success and glory with pancreatic cancer in August 2004 and eventually had to undergo surgery. Jobs, who eventually was chose as the American best CEO, repeatedly must leave work because of his poor health conditions. Here, Jobs was still thinking about the world and continue to create products while still in an unhealthy condition.

Jobs once again resigned from Apple

Jobs knew that he can survive long enough and thought for the good of the company. The team finally chose Cook as the next CEO of Apple. That time Steve Jobs decide to resigned from Apple. By reason of his health conditions, Jobs officially resigned on August 24, 2011. Public had doubts Apple for a while after Steve Jobs resigned. Although the stock market had showed declines, the stock finally recovered later.

His death was considered a loss to the world of techology

October 5, 2011, Jobs had to leave the world he loved, the public loved him. Jobs died at the age of 56, seven years after being diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. On his death he was widely described as a visionary, pioneer and genius in the field of innovation, and product design, and a man who had profoundly changed the face of the modern world. His death was widely mourned and considered a loss to the world.

Steve, who was once famous for his temper, even now regarded as a visionary. In the family, he is regarded as a warm father. Many people who publicly expressed his appreciation for the contribution of Steve Jobs in the technology world, including Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg.

After know Steve Jobs story, I feel motivated by his life story. Jobs are very popular because of his contribution to technology. He was also unyielding to circumstances, always strive to be better and give better. Although not all people have Apple gadget, I think most people know what it is Apple. His masterpieces will be remembered in generations.

Many people today do not believe the law of cause and effect. In Buddhism this familiar with the name of Karma, in Christianity known as sowing and reaping. Basically every human actions will cause and effect. Whether it resulted directly or indirectly. Because of distrust of modern humans at this, causing so many people today are not afraid to do something bad. This is what caused the world becomes increasingly chaotic lately. The following story is a true story about the law of cause and effect which could be a good example to illustrate how the so-called sowing and reaping.

One day a young man was walking in the woods, he suddenly heard a cry for help. Apparently he saw a young age as he was struggling with a floating sludge. The more moving even deeper he sank. The first young man had desperately wanted to give his help. With great effort the second young man’s can be saved. The first young man then take the second young man returned to his home.

Unexpectedly, the second young man was a rich kid. His house is very nice, large and exceptional luxury. This young man’s father is very grateful for the help given to their children and want to give money, but the first young man had refused the gift. He said that it is proper fellow human beings to help others who need help. Since this incident they became friends.

The first young man is a poor man while the second young man was the son of a wealthy nobleman. The poor boy, aspires to become a doctor, but he did not have the cost of college. Then there is a generous scholarship that would give him until finally earned his doctor. This person is no other than the second youth’s father was helping earlier.

Do you know the name of the poor young man who eventually became a doctor in this story? His name is Alexander Fleming, who later discovered penicillin drug. The nobles young man join army and in a task to the battlefield he was severely injured causing a very high fever due to infection. At that time there is no cure for such infections. The doctors heard about the discovery of penicillin and Dr.Flemming injected him with penicillin that he found. What happens then? Gradually the fever due to infection subsided and the boy was finally cured!

Did you know who the nobles young man? His name was Winston Churchill, well-known British Prime Minister. In this story we can see the law of sowing and reaping. Flemming sow kindness and then he also reap goodness. His dream come true to become a doctor. Fleming discovered penicillin which ultimately helps the soul Churchill.

When you consider the problem as a load , you may avoid it. When you consider the problem as a challenge , you may face . However , the problem should be a gift you receive happily. Because all problem always train you and make you better people. Just imagine if you don’t have a problem at all in your life. You’ll become weak people and can’t do anything great in this life. I frequently found great people achieve their success after faced some severe problem in their lifes. With sharp eyes, you should see a successful reversal of every problem .

Problems are the stairs leading to higher power. So, face it and transform it as your strength to succeed. It doesn’t matter, if you can’t achieve success. In fact, we can’t avoid problem in lifes, therefore, accept them as a gift.

The biggest prize given by the eagle to their children are not pieces of food in the morning. Neither do the warm in the cold night. However, it is when they threw them from a high cliff. The first moment the eaglet believe that their mother was so extreme. But an hour later, what they receive is not death, but the true power as eagle for themself, that is flying . If you do not dare to overcome the problem, you will failed in the rest of your life

Some people asked me. Why there is no post about trading anymore in my blog? Do I already stop trading? The answer is BIG NO. Today i will share a motivational story about struggle and hard work. Sometimes as human, we feel very lazy. Because of this laziness, we often do not do things properly. We do not attempt our best effort. In the end, what we obtained only regrets in the future. This story is about a carpenter and his house. Hope it can inspire you…

An old carpenter intends to retire from his job at a construction and real estate company. He tell his wish to the company’s owners. Of course, if he don’t work anymore then he will lose his monthly income, but the decision was unanimous. He felt tired. He want to relax and enjoy the rest of his day peacefully with his wife and his family.

The owner of the company was sad to lose one of his best employee. He then pleaded to carpenter to build a house for the last time. Carpenter nodded approved the company owner’s request .
But, in fact he felt forced. He wants to stop soon. His heart was not fully expended. Reluctantly he was working on that project. But he’s just using modest materials and he finally finished the house. The result is not a good house. It was an unfortunate way to end his career with a unsatisfactory work like that.
When the owner of the company came to inspect the house which he asked, he gave a house key to the carpenter. “This is your house,” he said, “a gift from us.”
What a shock!. What a shame and remorse. If only he knows that he is actually working on a house for himself, he would build with completely another way.
Now he must live in a house that was not to well built.

That is what happened in our lives. Sometimes, many of us build a life with a confusing way. Prefer to do something perfunctory rather than striving for good. Sometimes in part of most important thing in our lives, we still does not give our best effort. At the end, we sometimes suprise to what we have done and find ourselves living in a house that we create by ourself.
If we knew from the beginning, we are going to live this life with a much different way.
Think that we are the carpenter. Think about the house we are building. Every day we hit the nail, put up signs, build a wall and roof. Let’s finish our homes as best as we can, just like if we only have one chance in a lifetime. Our future is the result of our attitudes and the choices we do today.

Stanford University is one of the greatest and the most famous university in the world right now. Stanford enrolls approximately 6,800 undergraduate and 8,300 graduate students from the United States and around the world. Stanford is ranked second among world universities by the Academic Ranking of World Universities, and its undergraduate program is currently ranked fourth in the nation by U.S. News & World Report. But there only a few of people who knows about the story how Leland Stanford and Jane Stanford built the university the first time.Maybe this article has been posted many times in emails or on other sites. But there’s nothing wrong I will repeat this amazing story once again here. Here’s the story of the beginnings of the establishment of a world-renowned universities.

A woman who wear her faded dress hold her husband hand who wearing simple and shabby clothing, got off the train in Boston, and walked timidly toward the head office of Harvard University.
Upon arrival, the secretary of the University already despise them and thought that they are only village people who don’t have any business at all in Harvard and probably did not deserve to be in Cambridge.

"We want to see Head of Harvard University," the husband said softly.
"Today, he was very busy," said the Secretary fastly.
"We’ll wait," replied the woman.

During four hours the secretary ignored them, hoping that the couple would finally become discouraged and leave. But they were not. The secretary getting frustrated, and finally decided to report to the leaders.

"Maybe if you meet them for a few minutes, they’ll go," he said to the Head of Harvard University.

The head of university sighed and nodded grimly. People as important as him would not have time for them. And when he saw two people dressed in faded and threadbare clothes outside his office, his displeasure already emerged. The head of Harvard, with a stern face finally meet the couple.

The woman told him, "We have a son who studies the first year at Harvard. He loved Harvard and happy here. But a year ago, he died in an accident. We want to establish a warning for him, somewhere on this campus. may I? "he asked, with eyes that hope.
The head of Harvard is not touched, even his face reddening. He looked surprised.

"Madame," he said brusquely, "We can not build monuments to every person who entered Harvard and died. If we do that, this place would have been like a tomb. "
"Oh, no," the lady explained quickly, "We do not want to establish a memorial. We want to give a building to Harvard. "

The head of the Harvard rolled her eyes. He glanced at the faded shirt and threadbare clothes they wear and shouted, "A building! Do you know what the price of a building? You need to have more than 7.5 million dollars just for the physical building to Harvard. "

For a moment she was silent. The head of Harvard’s happy. Maybe he can be rid of them now. The woman turned to her husband and said quietly, "If only as much as it cost to start a university, why do not we make yourself?"

The university is Stanford University, one of the favorite universities in the U.S. upper class.

The moral message we can learn from the story is “dont judge by the cover”. As head of Harvard, we often dazzled by the clothes, and the outer apperance. In fact, behind the clothes, sometimes there are priceless thing we can’t imagine. So, let us not always neglect, because the clothes, often deceptive.

All this time, I frequently heard some words like this. “A was succeed because he had talent,” “B since born was genius, not surprise knowing that he become successful people now,” and etc… etc.. In our daily life, I guess you were too often hear things like that. Many people assume that success, intelligence, expertise is something that is pure acquired from birth. Many of them make excuses so they do not have to try. In fact, although talent is one factor that has influence on the success of someone, but it is not the only factor. If you ever watch the movie “Forest Gump” starring Tom Hanks, you certainly know what I mean. A fool could be succeed as long there is a will. And here are some stories of great people of their era that will open our eyes. That success is not derived from talent alone, but a strong will and unyielding attitude.

1. Albert Enstein

Who doesn’t know Albert Einstein? He is theoiritical physicist, philosopher and   author who is widely regarded as one of the most influential and best known scientists and intellectuals of all time. He is famous scientist of the famous 20th century with the theory of relativity. He was also one Nobel laureate. Who would have thought he was a son of a late talking and also suffer from autism. As a child she also likes negligent with lessons. Although Einstein had early speech difficulties, he was a top student in elementary school. As he grew, Einstein built models and mechanical devices for fun and began to show a talent for mathematics

2. Thomas Alva Edison

One day, a boy aged 4 years old, somewhat deaf and dumb in school, went home to his house carrying a piece of paper from his teacher. Her mother read the paper,
“Tommy, your child, is very stupid. We ask you can get her out of school.”
His mother was shocked to read these letters, but he soon made a firm determination, “My son Tommy, not a stupid kid. I own that would educate and teach him.“
Little Tommy was Thomas Alva Edison we know today, one of the greatest inventors in the world. He only went to school about three months, and he is physically a little deaf.
Can anyone imagine the boy who was deaf dumb and be asked out of school, ultimately could become a genius? The answer is his mother! Yes, Nancy Edison, do not give up so easily with the opinion of the school for their children.

3. Aristotle Onassis

At school, he was stupid and like to seek some trouble by following the way of many rich people. Not suprised if he was expelled from several schools. He is most often ranked the lowest rank in his class.

One teacher said:
“My classmates adore him, but a teachers and their families in despair. While he was young, people can easily see that he will become one among those who would destroy himself at all or a brilliant success. Although his grade was far from good in school, his talent for business and make money has appeared since he was a chiled. Eventually he became one of top millionaire in the world.

4. Chris Gardner

Have you ever watched movie or read book Pursuit of Happyness?

That book and the movie tell the true story of Christopher Paul Gardner’s life. His story is one of my favorite story i ever read. Bitter and sweetness of life seems to have passed through by him. Homeless, abandoned wives, was arrested the police, have trouble paying loans, all of them are some of experiences he had in his life. He’s not highly educated but he continues to try and fight. Now he became a millionaire success, motivator, entrepreneur and philanthropist. He is CEO of of his own stockbrokerage firm, Gardner Rich & Co., a stock brokerage firm based in Chicago, Illinois.

5. Ludwig Van Beethoven

If you know a woman who is pregnant, who already has eight children, three of them were deaf, two blind, one mentally impaired and she by herself suffering syphilis, do you will advise her to abort the pregnancy?

If you answered yes, then you’ve just killed one of the world greatest composer ever born. Because one of a child who was born by the mother is Ludwig Van Beethoven.
