I’m one of the huge fans of Maria Sharapova. I don’t know why, i always love the way she appears both in tennis field and outside. She’s so charming and beautiful. If other tennis players just depend on their beauty to be popular outside the tennis, Maria Sharapova can also reach a good achievement in field too. She had been number 1 female tennis player in the world, even not in a long period. That make me always follow her news in newspaper, and i really hate when she has to face Serena Williams in the Tennis Competition final. It’s because, she always lose to Serena. Miss Universe 2012 has just over and Olivia Culpo (Miss USA) was crowned as Miss Universe 2012 winner. Olivia managed to beat 88 other participants in the final night of Miss Universe 2012 that broadcasted live by NBC yesterday night (12/19/2012) from Las Vegas, Nevada. Olivia Culpo, a 20 years old girl from Rhode Island is one of favorite contestant were favored to win Miss Universe 2012. Beside have a beautiful body, Olivia is often said to have beauty like Audrey Hepburn (a British actress and humanitarian). Olivia Culpo also have talent in music because her parents work in music industry. This make Olivia know music since childhood. No wonder, she can play Cello perfectly. She even ever play with famous Cellist, Yo Yo Ma. Olivia was followed by Miss Philippines, Janine Tugonon on the second place as first runner-up. While Miss Universe Venezuela, Irene Sofiá Esser Quintero. was the second runner-up. Miss Australia, Renae Ayris and got fourth place and Miss Brazil, Gabriela Markus got fifth place. For me, this is the most interesting costume in each Miss Universe event. In this session, all contestants have to show the traditional clothing of countries. This National Costume Show actually was broadcasted live via Miss Universe website yesterday (Friday, December 14, 2012). From total 89 contestants, only Miss Sweden did not participate in this event. There are a lot of unique costume worn by contestants. One of the most unique costume was worn by Maria Selena, Miss Indonesia. Maria Selena wear a garuda costume. Garuda is the symbol of my country which symbolizes virtue, knowledge, strength, courage, loyalty, and discipline. Garuda is the ideology of Pancasila. The costume that Maria Selena wore yesterday is exactly same with Garuda. The number of large feathers on the wings are 45 strands. While the crown there are 17 strands. Meanwhile, there are eight feathers on each side of the right and left tail. Beside Miss Indonesia national costume, i also like national costume of Miss China, Miss Colombia, Miss Finland, Miss Guatemala, Miss Honduras, Miss Mexico, Miss Peru, Miss Sri Lanka, Miss USA and Miss Vietnam.

Having photographed using swimsuit outfit several days ago ago, all Miss Universe 2012 contestants once again must wear bikini in swimsuit preview session. This is a important part of the pre-judging. The swimsuit preview itself already takes places since 2002. This session is to score the bodies of all Miss Universe contestant and get the general idea about their general fitness. Unlike the bikini in swimsuit photo session, the bikini worn in this session is limited to only 2 model (sky blue bikini and orange bikini). All the bikinis is two pieces bikini that sponsored by Kooey from Australia.

Three costume that usually used in Miss Universe competition are Swimsuit, National Costume and Evening Gown. Miss Universe contestants look very pretty with gown they wear. Most favorite bikini worn by most contestant were two pieces bikini with flower theme and bright color. Some contestants who wear one piece swimsuit, such as Miss Angola, Miss Botswana, Miss Guam, Miss Nigeria etc. Miss France choose to be different by wearing a high waisted bikini. And as Indonesian people, my eyes focused on the woman representing my country named Maria Selena. Maria Selena is an Indonesian beauty pageant ( Puteri Indonesia 2011) titleholder.
