4 Biggest Mistake why Internet Marketer failed to build a business on the Internet
Frankly I knew internet marketing world since I attended a preview seminar on 2004 that explains about internet marketing. I rather forget who was the speaker on that time. What i remember exactly is that time I was there with my younger brother. My younger brother was very interested following the seminar workshop even the price quite expensive that time. Since the seminar, I never learn again about internet marketing. But, along with the continued development of a business that was built by my brother on the internet, I finally began to wonder what how to build business on the internet.
And it reached the peak after I attended three days Global Internet Summit seminar on 9 November 2009. Since then, I really really attracted to plunge more deeply about this field. What a coincidence November was my last month I worked as an employee. So I have more time to build my own business.
At the seminar one of the speaker mentioned that from a few hundred people who attend the seminar, there will be only 10% or maybe even 5% are people who will be successful in this field. I myself already familiar with this term. I read it on Financial Revolution, one of Tung Desem Waringin’s Book. Because not only in business, financial world, education world, whatever the field is had always happened that way. There will be a small number of people who will succeed while the rest are mediocre.
And from what I traced this far, it seems there is some wrong perceptions about internet marketing that makes so many people fail to build a business in this Internet world:
1. The absence of purpose and a very strong reason
Almost all the book / ebook on internet marketing that I read always give a theme of mindset in the beginning chapters. Why is this mindset so important? Yes …. because this is the most important key to be successful, not just in internet marketing, but also in all other areas. No purpose to be achieved and have no strong reason to achieve will make people do not have passion and enthusiasm to continue to learn and try again if it fails. Because of this, most people on a whim when learning about internet marketing. If you don’t get serious to work on this then the result you’ll got no result.
2. Convinced that Internet business is to get rich quick
This is the most common reason most people fail to make. Because it was human nature that wants a little work but can generate a lot of money aka LAZY !!!! So when they do not quickly generate income from the business on the internet, they are becoming lazy to continue. The point is, the Internet business is still a business, and all businesses must take time to be successful. Therefore, do not too easy believe when someone says that they can earn money easily on the internet. Most successful internet marketers who are currently able to generate money quickly once also took time and struggle while in the beginning of his career.
3. Not willing to learn and seek information from various sources
Most beginners lulled by speech or digital product ads that expose get rich quick from the internet. Without seeking further information, they immediately bought the product and be disappointed and think the Internet business is a scam. This also happened in the internet marketing seminars, such as for example GIS that I attended in November last year. At the seminar, many people who tempted in the ways described by teachers to be able to get rich quick from the internet. Because lulled by the words “TAKE ACTION” at the seminar, then buy a package from teachers at the seminar is only one “TAKE ACTION” step that must be done. Whereas if not followed by several “TAKE ACTION” step after that, it not strange if they all fail. That is why we must examine a sort of digital products we want to buy and should have an open mind to receive information and learn from various sources. My advice, find the figure of a teacher who might be able to guide you or look for groupof intensive study with some friends who have similar interests regarding this Internet Marketing.
4. Do not want to innovate.
Imitating indeed is one shortcut to achieve success. But to imitate and apply them exactly is a folly. When we know there someone success when build a website with a certain topic, many people in droves to create similar sites. Not only is the topic, the article, the template, even the domain name was the same. The result? Almost all fail because there is no advantage value compared to the website that already exists.
Actually build a business on the internet is about the same as building a business in real life. When we often racked our brain to build a business in real life, so it is with the internet, just with different way. So i can tell the Internet Business actually similar in business in real life.
