Meaning of Stars Symbols, Horoscopes and Zodiac

February 28th, 2011 1 comment

In my country, people’s date of birth believed to have particular meaning. In my country, young people love to read horoscope. In fact, horoscope is a diagram representing the positions of the Sun, Moon, planets, the astrological aspects, and sensitive angles at the time of an event, such as the moment of a person’s birth. In common usage, horoscope often refers to an astrologer’s interpretation, usually through a system of Sun sign astrology or based on calendar significance of an event, as in Chinese astrology. In particular, many newspapers and magazines carry predictive columns based on celestial influences in relation to the zodiacal placement of the Sun on the day of a person’s birth, identifying the individual’s Sun sign or “star sign” based on a conventional zodiac (which is not the celestial one).

Kuala Lumpur LRT and Monorail Map

February 28th, 2011 No comments

Having a trip to Kuala Lumpur is far more easier than i thought. This is because the availability of Monorail (MRT), LRT and KTM in Kuala Lumpur, especially if you choose to stay at KL Sentral. Compared to MRT in Singapore or MTR in Hongkong, Monorail in Kuala Lumpur is quite cheap. For short distance, i only spent about RM 1.5 to 2 ($0.4 – $0.6) only. And you can access all important place and landmark in Kuala Lumpur just by using LRT and Monorail, such as Bukit Bintang, Chinatown, Petronas Twin Tower, Batu Cave, KLIA Airport, etc. To make your trip easier, i share to you the Monorail Map of Kuala Lumpur. Hope this will help.

My Trip to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia (Day 2) : Genting Highlands

February 27th, 2011 No comments

After window shopping in Bukit Bintang and go to Petronas Twin Tower on the first day, we spent our second day in Genting Highlands or sometimes called as Resort World Genting. This place was built to become one of the biggest integrated resort in Malaysia. Genting Highlands is similar to Ancol in Jakarta. It’s like combining several entertainment place in one place. There are a lot of entertainment you can enjoy in Genting Highlands, such as Casino, Genting Theme Park, Genting Skyway (Cable Car), etc. This place is quite far from Kuala Lumpur, because it’s located in a mountain outside the city. At first, i plan to go by bus to go to this place. But i ran out of bus ticket. Fortunately, there are 2 Indonesian people who offer to share taxi with us. I finally went to Genting by using Taxi. The price for one taxi is RM 80 ($ 26.29) that time. Because there are 4 people who use the taxi, then we only pay RM 20 ($  6.5) / person (Not too expensive, right?). After one hour ride, we finally arrive at Genting Highlands. The weather is good, not too cold, not too hot. It’s similar to my hometown.

February 26th, 2011 22 comments

During my stay in China, one of the most frustated thing beside the lack of vegetarian food is about blocked internet website here. Some general websites such as Facebook, Twitter, Blogger, Youtube could not be accessed at all here. This of course makes me a little frustrated. Moreover, some websites are one source of my income, examples: Bloggers & Youtube. That’s why on early days here, i use my time to find a way to get through Chinese Government’s firewall (Great Wall). During 4 days of searching, I found that there are several ways to access blocked websites in China.

My New Life Journey This Year : Study Chinese Language at Tianjin

February 26th, 2011 2 comments

This year, i try something new on my life. I decide to study chinese language at China. I go there with my girlfriend. In fact, i actually already have the desire to school abroad for a long time. But it just seems to be realized now. I always want to learn Chinese. And i choose 天津 Tian Jin, China as my destination because there are not much Indonesian people there, so i can improve my chinese language significantlly. Beside that the cost study there is cheaper than study at other city like Beijing or Sanghai. On 20 February, I finally arrived at Tianjin . Hmmm …. My initial impression here the air is FREEZZZZINNNGGGG …. The temperature here is below 0. Looking around, I was a little shocked seeing Tian Jin city. The situation here is not like big cities, but much like the village. But on the campus there is a hypermart called 物美 Wu Mart. After a half hour drive from the Airport to the my dormitory. Arrived there, first i must register for my room. It cost about 5,256 CNY (US $ 800) for 5 months stay. Because i can’t talk chinese fluently, i got helped by my friend, Irvhan. After registered, finally I can rest. The room here is quite good.

My Trip to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia (Day 1) : Bukit Bintang, Petronas Tower

February 26th, 2011 No comments

The day i had been waiting finally arrived. Today i depart from my country to go study mandarin in Tianjin, China. Because the cheapest airline ticket is Airasia, so i use Airasia to go to Tianjin, China. Because there is only one flight from Kuala Lumpur to Tianjin in a day which is 8:00 in the morning, and there is no more early flight from Surabaya to Kuala Lumpur, so i have to pick the last flight from Surabaya to Kuala Lumpur on previous day if i want to go directly to Tianjin. So it means that, i have to wait for 8 hours in LCTT (Airasia Airport in Kuala Lumpur). After considering this,  i and my girlfriend decide to have a trip for two days at Kuala Lumpur before i go to Tianjin. So i decide to take morning flight (06:05 AM) from Surabaya to Kuala Lumpur on February 22, 2011. Like what i do in every trip i’ve done, i already gathered information and booked a hotel at Kuala Lumpur before departing. Like usual, i booked the hotel from Agoda, and my choice went to My Hotel at KL Sentral. Why i pick this hotel? Because KL Sentral is the transport centre in Kuala Lumpur. You can find any transport you want to ride, from taxi, bus, Monorail (MRT) in KL Sentral.

One of reason why i love Mac OS X so much is because there is Adium as my primary messenger software. Adium Messenger support multiple account including MSN, Yahoo Messenger, Google Talk, AOL Messenger, ICQ, QQ, Facebook, Twitter, etc. So what you need to do is just open Adium, and your messenger account are all online. Only Skype account doesn’t supported by Adium. One of advantage of Adium Messenger compared to many messenger software is it is very customizable.
